POSTS STORIES REELS

Entering 2023, I remember feeling like I was waking up from a long sleep, so I made a lot of changes in my life and got on the whole self-discovery journey. It took me 30years to realise I didn’t really know myself and with that, came the existential crisis. I dealt with anxiety episodes to a new level, and was mostly on that quest to find my inner centre/core. I learnt so much more about who I was, how to love myself (new meanings and ways to do that) and re-evaluating my beliefs & mindset (is it what I truly resonate with or what’s been forced on me by my environment). Practicing being open-minded has turned out to be liberating, because it helped me with my self-shaming. I can’t deny that things get intoxicatingly low and dark really fast and often, but I acknowledge that I have experienced some really intense highs as well this year. For those of you who have graced my life with your presence, you saved me. Thank you for supporting while also giving me the space to look inward and (try to) figure it out.

Entering 2024, it doesn’t feel like a clean slate; i’m feeling like it’s gonna be an extension of the work I’ve been doing in 2023. Idk what i can promise, but i’m a work-in-progress trying to make the most out of my time here. All the best!

PS. I wrote this song on my recent travels and I still cry every time I listen to it because it is the most honest i’ve ever been in a song and it just encompasses what I’ve gone thru this year. Yay, what a trip. by @enharyono

AIN’T GONNA MOVE

an original song I wrote in 2014. this song has gone thru many changes and iterations but it still takes me back to the 22yo Lisa trying to make sense of what it truly means to love someone, amidst the chaos of getting to know myself & my baggage. well, i still don’t get it, but i’ll say it thankfully has been a lot less chaotic.

Here’s to writing and sharing more music in 2023! 🥂

BAYBEATS 2026.

We still ain’t over it. Our first full set since 2017/18 tho we’ve truly lost count. We know many of you from then joined us that evening and we’re so glad you’re still here. Feels good to be back playing old songs, new renditions, in wildly different timelines, but with the same hearts.

We’re grateful to @baybeats for the opportunity, and massive kudos to the team that took care of us from the dressing room to the stage. Thank you to our old pal @aasherlim for working his magic on our sounds.

And thank you for sticking around! And a big hello to new faces. It’s good to be back :)

i decided to disconnect yesterday. while i’m always excited at the prospect of it, execution isn’t always easy. grateful that i got to spend the day being intentional, slowing down to breathe and observe, and just being present. i realise it really takes practice. hope to do this more :) by @enharyono
