just us (and the fly inside my wall), 2023 Wool, mohair, linen, cardboard and wire 108 x 65 x 58cm Open studios 🪰 This piece is the first tufted sculpture i’ve made, it came from an encounter i had with a fly several months ago which left me feeling sort of haunted. After the fly got into the walls of my room we lived out the rest of its days in forced harmony - i endured the occasional jump scare it put me through in the coming days, weeks. The final time i heard the buzz was a month after our initial encounter. It was as chilling as ever. #tuftinggun #rugmaking #rugtufting #textiledesign #fiberart #textileart #tufting #tuftingart #tuftedart #tuftingsculpture by @enikovtomay

Layers upon Layers upon Layers Co-curated with Ben Wilson @benhtwilsonart and Emma J Brown @emmajbrown_studios as part of @grog.collective ~~ The stories embedded in the walls of a restaurant linger in its rooms as it fills with new voices and faces each night. New memories made and old ones shared, hushed gossip exchanged, wine spilt and drunk. Set within the dining room of a French neighbourhood restaurant, LAYERS upon LAYERS upon LAYERS invites us to consider how time’s passing affects that which remains. What haunts the corridors once the lights go off and the key turns in the lock? How does the old make way for the new? What gets left behind, and does it really stay hidden forever? ~~ Paperskin, 2026 Glazed stoneware 15 x 15 x 12 cm Currently on view at Patron in Kentish Town. Final day to see the show, open 4-8pm tonight ! by @enikovtomay

I’m so excited to be part of this show alongside some amazing artists, opening next week in Margate! Organised by Chip In (@chipin.art), “Like a Kite, Without A Breeze” explores the ebb and flow of an artist’s life, the exhibition invites the perspective to reconsider the everyday through the lens of embracing ambiguity, transformation and possibility.  Projects Kavel Rafferty @projects_kavelrafferty Opening 10th - 14th September 2026 | 12-5pm (or by appointment) PV 12th September | 5-8pm Artists: Alex Morante (@slipslol) Betty Foster-Eardley (@bettyroseart) Bruno Mausgrad (brunomausgrad) Boudicca Collins (@boudiccapaloma) Dylan White (@dylanwhiteart) Eleanor McLean (@eleanormcleanstudio) Elizaveta Berkutova (@el.berkutova) Emma Black (@eblack.emma) Enikő Tomay (@enikovtomay) Haydn Albrow (@haydndoesart) Jaine Hum (@jainehum) Lily Hughes (@lilyzhughes) Maksim Frolov (@m.frolov2.0) Maximilian Boxer (@maximillianboxer) Michael Williamson (@quirkygentlethem) Molly Clark (@m.fleurart) Munaye Lichtenstein (@munaye_lichtenstein) Owen T Douglass (@otd_art) Poppy Cauchi (@poppycauchi) Rainy Tong (@rainytongart) Sid & Jim (@sid_smith) Vanessa Walters (@walters.vanessa) Ezekiel Foster-Eardley (@eightbitelf) Curated by Lilly Foster-Eardley (@lillyamber_art) & Milly Aburrow (@portfolio.milly) Sponsored by: Jubel Beer @jubelbeer and Archival Print @archival_print by @enikovtomay
Paperskin 2026 Glazed Stoneware 15 x 15 x 12cm Traditionally in Japan, fugu chōchin were pufferfish lanterns made from the dried skin of pufferfish. The highly toxic flesh of fugu - pufferfish - resulted in the eventual ban of its consumption across Japan. These lanterns were often hung outside restaurants serving fugu; acting as both an invitation and a warning sign, should one choose to indulge in the dangerous delicacy. I recently encountered a fugu chōchin in Oxford’s Pitt Rivers Museum. Taken from the sea, then from Japan, stuck behind glass as a curiosity - and now, finally turned to stone in my hands. Ceramic as a material is still, solid yet fragile. The fluid malleability of clay is frozen through fire into another taxidermy. To make eye contact with a consciousness unlike our own invites us to lock eyes with the non-human, the other, the animal, the departed and the subconscious. Living meets the gaze of the dead, human to animal, observer and observed; in this contact there is a melding of states. by @enikovtomay
