A book launch fills a room. Who keeps the room open?

@enter___enter is a not-for-profit space in Amsterdam hosted by @fw.books, @roma.publications , Premiss and @ayhgnl . A book here might become an exhibition, a conversation or the beginning of another project.

I’ll speak with @hans.gremmen , graphic designer, Fw:Books co-founder and one of the people behind ENTER ENTER, about what it takes to create a place like this and keep it going.

“When I teach poetry, it’s Creeley, really, that does the teaching,” so confesses Ben Lerner from his place at the podium of a university lecture hall where he addresses two audiences: one before him in the bleachers “IRL,” and another — virtual, latent, and unknowable. Fixated, stalemated, and alone in her bedroom, Kiki finds unlikely company in the obsessionsof another.

Book Launch 📚🍻

Jeroen Kooijmans *LV-22-LV*
Designed by Marius Schwartz

Saturday 11 July from 6-9 pm at Enter Enter
Nieuwe Herengracht 11A, Amsterdam
Installation still on view until Saturday 18 July
by appointment via info@enter-enter.nl

This book, based on Kooijmans’ film Love-22-Love, offers an intimate and artistic journey through love, art, and darkness. Drawing from diaries and a rich visual archive, it reflects more than three decades of his artistic practice, where reality, fantasy, and poetry converge. His love for Elspeth Diederix—his wife and the mother of their three daughters—serves as the driving force and central thread of this love story. The book captures the energy and ingenuity of their creative process as they travel the world together. Yet, above all, it is an honest and vulnerable account of his lifelong struggle with depression and psychosis; through it, he seeks to break down taboos and encourage openness. The book weaves together film excerpts and archival imagery into a compelling portrait of an inner journey.

Book launch of Reproduced Images by Jim Klok

Friday 19 June
18:00—20:00

ENTER ENTER
Nieuwe Herengracht 11A
1011RK, Amsterdam

In Reproduced Images, Jim Klok brings together a selection of works through the act of reproduction, using similar methods in which the works were originally made.

The act of reproducing documentation of (temporarily existing) work serves as a way to reactivate and recontextualize this work, resulting in a multilayered publication merging images and drawings.

The book includes an introduction text by Helmer Stuyt.

Prints from the book as well as some new work will be on show at ENTER ENTER.

The book, designed by Jim Klok will be for sale during the launch. taken in ENTER ENTER by @enter___enter

Now that I have spoken in two: who did I become?
Noah van de Wetering

Friday 12 June (book launch)
18:00—21:00 (doors open at 16:00)

Saturday 13 June & Sunday 14 June
13:00—17:00

ENTER ENTER
Nieuwe Herengracht 11A
1011RK, Amsterdam

Now that I have spoken in two: who did I become introduces research that has been developed over a span of approximately eight years. Noah returned to his archive of silver gelatine prints to question assumptions about our physical reality that are often coloured by our expectations of technical images and the mechanical procedures that realise them. The book consists of more than 30 photograms and images, representing a broad experimental, physical research into the topic. The images are accompanied by four essays written by Noah van de Wetering, Twan Lugten & Finn Kaino Maätita.

Prints from the book as well as some new work will be on show at ENTER ENTER.

The book, designed by Susu Lee & Noa Wassink will be for sale during the weekend. taken in ENTER ENTER by @enter___enter
