Kick sledding has been on my list for Enzo this year, and we recently took a local mushing course to get started.
@ryokeninstinct mini bags have been our go-to for refreshing commands — they’re nutrient-dense, easy to grab and go, and Enzo goes nuts for them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you want to give them a try, rabbit minis are still in stock! Use code ENZOINSTINCT to snag a bag.

Got a counter surfer?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We worked hard to train Enzo out of this habit early on, but lately we’ve let things slide—and it’s showing. Here are a few ways we’re reinforcing good food manners:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- No feeding in the kitchen: Since we have an open floor plan, it’s tricky to set boundaries—but we avoid feeding him anywhere near where we prep or eat food. He’s also not allowed to sniff around the pantry during mealtime prep.
- He works for his food: No free handouts here. Every meal or treat comes with a command first. It keeps him focused and reinforces structure.
- Setting social boundaries: His manners tend to slip at social events. I’m trying to be more mindful about not letting others feed him, and I’m avoiding leaving treats on dining tables at restaurants. We want to break the association between people eating and him getting something.

Leave me with my mind...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2025 feels like it’s flying by, and I haven’t had much time to process everything — or do the outdoor activities I usually love this time of year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wish I went on a snow backpacking trip. I wish I did more snow hikes. I wish I explored more of the Cascades and Oregon this winter season. I wish I had more time and energy for photography.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But looking back, I’m grateful for what I did do. I spent more time with family. I went snowboarding for the first time. I focused on training Enzo with new commands and cherished our snuggle time. I read. I explored the city and new restaurants with my husband. We had many cozy charcuterie and wine nights at home.

Here’s hoping spring doesn’t slip by just as fast — though I know it probably will. What’s on your must-do list this spring? taken in The Pacific Northwest by @enzoroams

My grandpa is my hero.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He survived what most couldn’t imagine — escaping Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge, a time of unimaginable hardship. With his wife and six children by his side, he risked everything to bring them to America and give them a better life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He didn’t just raise me, he shaped me into who I am. He taught me the meaning of family, how to treat people with kindness and respect, and how to cherish the simple things, like a home-cooked meal shared with the ones you love.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He was the person I could count on, to fix whatever was broken, to be there waiting at my primary school bus stop every single day, rain or shine. He made my breakfasts, packed my lunches, and cooked his fried rice that no one will ever come close to recreating.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He taught me how to show up for the people I love, how to live with kindness and a good heart. What I know about being a good person — I learned from watching him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And Grandpa, thank you for loving Enzo like you did. The quiet afternoons you spent side by side, the gentle way you spoke to him — Enzo felt your love, just like I did. I know he still looks for you in all the places you used to be.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love you so much, Grandpa. I miss you more than words can hold. Rest easy 🤍 taken in The Pacific Northwest by @enzoroams
