📚 Why Epigram Books is turning toward ASEAN—in Edmund Wee’s own words.

Starting next year, our EBFP winners will be published not just in Singapore, but in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, and possibly Vietnam.

The answer wasn’t Europe—it was Southeast Asia.

ASEAN isn’t just a market of 670 million people. It’s a region full of writers, readers and stories that deserve to travel across borders. But we can’t understand each other if we don’t read each other.

That’s why, five years after opening the EBFP to ASEAN writers, we’re opening publishing to ASEAN publishers too.

Starting next year, our EBFP winners will be published not only in Singapore, but also in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar and possibly Vietnam.

A small step for a publisher, a meaningful one for Southeast Asian storytelling. by @epigrambooks
