Great to see EQT Ventures represented at 10 Downing Street for a reception hosted by the Prime Minister Andy Burnham, bringing together founders and investors from across the UK technology ecosystem. 🇬🇧

Kaushik Subramanian, Partner at EQT Ventures, had the opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister. EQT has invested more than £10 billion in the UK over the past decade and remains committed to supporting ambitious companies building and scaling from the UK.

The UK has extraordinary entrepreneurial talent, a strong investment ecosystem and the ambition to build global technology leaders. Through EQT Ventures and Growth, we're backing ambitious, AI-native companies in the UK, including Cleo, Ineffable Intelligence, Dwelly, Paid and Stacks.

Ensuring founders have access to the capital and support they need to scale is critical to realising that potential.

Thank you to the Prime Minister and the Downing Street team for bringing everyone together. by @eqtventures

Talking about AI is easy. Building something that actually works by sundown is more interesting.

This weekend, 70 AI builders came together in Stockholm for the {Tech: Europe} Agentic AI Hack, forming teams in the morning, building throughout the day and taking to the stage for live demos that evening.

Hosted at Norrsken EQT Ventures teamed up with Google DeepMind, for a day that was all about moving quickly from ideas to working products: experimenting with agents, testing new tools and seeing just how much can now be built in a matter of hours.

A lot of energy, some impressive demos, and perhaps even the beginnings of a few future companies.

Thanks to everyone who spent their Saturday building, and to Google DeepMind, Norrsken, Matrix OS, Condense.chat and the wider {Tech: Europe} community for bringing it together.

More building, less talking. by @eqtventures

Founders & Friends: Stockholm 🇸🇪

From AI and agents to robotics, Friday evening brought together founders and builders from across Stockholm’s technology ecosystem for dinner, drinks and conversation.

Hosted by EQT Ventures and {Tech: Europe}, it was a chance to step away from the usual conference format, compare notes on what people are building and make some new connections along the way.

And a good warm-up for Saturday’s {Tech: Europe} Agentic AI Hack with Google DeepMind at Norrsken, where teams went from ideas in the morning to working demos by the evening.

Thank you to everyone who spent their Friday night with us. by @eqtventures

Across Europe, there is real momentum behind startups and scale-ups. The next step is making sure a new generation of European technology leaders can go all the way. 🇪🇺

Last week, Allied For Startups and the European Startup Network came together to launch Startups for Europe, bringing more than 40 national startup and scale-up associations together with founders, investors, corporates, universities and policymakers.

EQT is proud to join as a founding partner, with Victor Englesson taking a seat on the advisory board.

Serena Borbotti-Frison, Co-Founder and CEO: “The ecosystem has evolved faster than many of the systems around it, and that is what we now need to address.”

From growth capital and talent to procurement, employee ownership and a genuinely functioning Single Market, the barriers are interconnected, and so are the solutions. by @eqtventures

An evening in Rome with the people building and backing what comes next. This week, EQT Founders & Friends: Rome brought together 75 founders, operators and investors from across the Italian and European technology ecosystem for drinks, conversation and new connections.

During the evening, Ted Persson, Partner at EQT and Co-Head of the Scaleup Europe Fund, sat down with Francesco Cerruti, Director General of Italian Tech Alliance, for a fireside on how Europe’s technology ecosystem is changing, and what still needs to happen.

Capital was part of it. But so were customers, talent, regulation, procurement and building with global ambition from day one, including what Italy can bring to that next chapter.

Hosted by EQT Ventures and the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, connecting different stages of the company-building journey from early stage through global scale. by @eqtventures

Munich before 9am: coffee, AI and a room full of people building.

To kick off Bits & Pretzels, EQT Ventures and Nebius brought together a group of founders, operators and investors working across applied AI, foundation models, Physical AI, robotics and life sciences.
Plenty to talk about: what people are building now, where the next AI categories are emerging, and what changes when companies can build and scale faster than ever before.

Great to have friends from NVIDIA, Helsing, DeepL, Marvel Fusion, Servamind and Construct Labs among those around the table.

A strong start to Bits & Pretzels. by @eqtventures

Scaling (in) Europe Edition. Great morning at Founders House last week with @sebjohnsonuk 📊🇪🇺, founder of @scaling.europe, and Ted Persson, Partner at EQT, bringing together founders for a conversation about what it takes to stand out while scaling.

We covered the balance between building a great product and telling a great story, how founders can build attention from zero, where personal brand fits in, and the line between a compelling narrative and letting the story run ahead of the substance.

And, inevitably, Europe. Does building a global category leader still mean moving to Silicon Valley, or is that increasingly just a story we keep telling ourselves? And how can European founders use storytelling, brand and media to compete for attention globally?

From Seb building Scaling Europe from public company filings into a platform reaching millions each month, to Ted’s perspective from backing companies across AI, deep tech, aviation and space, there was plenty for founders to take away.

One message came through clearly: substance matters, but so does your ability to make people care about what you’re building.

Thanks to Seb, Ted, Founders House, and to Sara Boras for moderating. Plus everyone who joined us for breakfast. More of these conversations to come. 🚀 by @eqtventures

While much of the technology industry is focused on what AI might replace, Fever has spent more than a decade building technology for something it cannot: the energy of a live crowd and the memory of an experience shared with other people. 🎫

Founded by Spanish entrepreneurs, Fever has grown into a global technology platform powering live entertainment and enabling better access to culture across more than 55 countries and 500 cities. 🇪🇸

We’re excited to announce that the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, is leading Fever’s $250 million primary equity financing round.

Fever started with discovery and demand, and has since built infrastructure, technology and a data layer spanning demand generation, ticketing, pricing and event operations. Underneath the platform sits a proprietary data engine that helps partners understand audiences, grow demand and take successful experiences into new markets, with AI making that engine increasingly powerful.

We know what happens when ambitious technology companies reach global scale from Europe and the flywheel starts turning: they build and attract new talent, compound expertise and experience, crowd in international capital, shape the ecosystems around them, and create our next generation of founders.

This is core to the Scaleup Europe Fund’s mission: helping European technology companies go global, while staying European. Founders should be able to build from Europe, all the way.

We’re proud to back Ignacio Bachiller Ströhlein, Francisco Hein, Alexandre Perez Casares and the entire Fever team as they continue to power live experiences globally. by @eqtventures

AI’s next breakthrough won’t come from models alone.

Today, EUCLYD announced more than €200 million in Series A financing, co-led by Samsung Catalyst Fund, Somerset Capital Partners, Innovation Industries and the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT.

Founded in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, at the heart of one of the world’s most important semiconductor ecosystems, Euclyd is rethinking AI infrastructure from the logic gate up. Its Crafted Compute architecture is designed to make advanced AI more efficient, scalable and accessible.

Europe has spent decades building significant semiconductor and systems-engineering expertise. Euclyd is putting that depth to work on one of the defining technology challenges of our time: how to deliver the enormous amount of compute AI will require without equally enormous costs in energy and infrastructure.

Ted Persson, Partner at EQT and Co-Head of the Scaleup Europe Fund: “Europe has the engineering talent to produce globally significant technology companies. Euclyd combines deep semiconductor expertise with a mission to tackle some of the hardest constraints in AI infrastructure. That mix of European engineering depth and global ambition is what we’re here to back.”

Proud to partner with Bernardo Kastrup and the Euclyd team as they build from Eindhoven for a global market. by @eqtventures

European healthcare needs more time for patients, not more time spent on administration. 🩺

Today, the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, is leading Tandem Health’s $100 million Series B, the Fund’s first investment in healthcare AI.

Founded in Stockholm, Tandem is already used by more than 10,000 care organisations across 14 European markets, building clinically safe AI that supports clinicians before, during and after the patient visit.

Now, the ambition goes further: expanding from an AI medical assistant towards an AI-native operating system for the clinic, helping return more time to clinicians and their patients.

We’re excited to partner with founders Lukas Saari, Oscar Boldt-Christmas, Oliver Åstrand and the entire Tandem team as they bring European healthcare into the AI era. by @eqtventures

What does the finance function look like in an AI-native world?

This week, Stacks and EQT Ventures brought together 25 CFOs and finance leaders in Stockholm for another edition of the CFO Breakfast series.

Sara Börsvik, CFO turned Interim CEO at Epidemic Sound, joined Albert Malikov, Founder & CEO at Stacks, for an off-the-record fireside on how the finance function is evolving: from experimenting with AI across the organisation to operational excellence and the changing role of finance leadership.

No panels, no presentations, just a small group comparing notes, sharing what’s working and learning from each other.

Thanks to Sara, Albert, Stacks and everyone who joined. More to come! by @eqtventures
