💩 If you believed every doomsday story on TV, you’d think there’s nothing we can do about the climate crisis.

🌎 But regeneration & solutions are progressing faster than ever. Never before had we had so much power to change the big things.

📽️ TV & Film has the power to rewrite the narrative, to #FlipTheScript. If we come together to tell stories of change, we can imagine new ways through to a better future. We can mobilise audiences & leaders to act.

🗣️ We are part of a rapidly growing movement of storytellers who want to rewrite the climate story for society. Join us! Follow @ClimateSpring

Future Credits: LCAW Edition

London Climate Action Week ran through June, and it kept us busy all week 🌍 Here’s where you would’ve found us:

- Benedict Cumberbatch hosted our Industry Roundtable with @climate__spring.

- @fehintibalogun stood alongside climate professionals for their announcement on extreme heat predictions. @heatwave76to26

- @will_attenborough introduced @algore and Mary Robinson for a conversation on An Inconvenient Truth, 20 years on, with @climaterealityproject.

- We talked class and community at Working Class Heroes with @futerra’s Solutions House.

- Will and @kirendhadwal talked the future of film and TV at @earthfestworld.

- Fehinti chatted with @cloverhogan at the Youth Climate Summit to talk about where Green Rider started!

- Will and @charitywakefield held a panel discussion at the premier of What Comes After The Flood, a @mothersriseup film about English towns fighting back against insurers abandoning them after flooding (Will also got to meet his hero @tessaskhan , which is its own whole thing 👀❤️)

Follow for more and catch you at the next @ldnclimateweek 💚🌍.

IT’S NOT COOL

This week’s heatwave is an opportunity to prepare for the next time extreme heat hits.

Did you know when you sign up to join the next Heat Strike you get access to resources about how to stay safe at work in heatwaves, and help unions win their campaign for climate action that protects all of us?!

Use the free heat health and safety poster to start the conversations at work about changes you can make such as avoiding travelling in peak heat, taking extra breaks in the shade, and setting a maximum working temperature.

You could even set up a cool station in your community to hand out advice and encourage more people to sign up to say they will join the next Heat Strike.

This won’t be the last heatwave. The Government is failing to protect us, we must prepare ourselves. Head to our bio to sign up.

JOIN THE RALLY FOR A MAXIMUM WORKPLACE TEMP

Last week we heard stories of ambulances called to schools, workplaces shooting well over 40 degrees, thousands of heat related deaths across Europe, people sacked for asking for changes in their workplace, unions supporting bus drivers to remove themselves from overheating cabs, and millions heard the call for a maximum workplace temperature.

In June people across the UK could feel that our workplaces and communities are not prepared, and now with more heatwaves like this one are on the way they are scared.

But as union members and climate activists we know there’s power in a union, change doesn’t happen without protest, we’re cooler together!

Join our online rally at 7:30pm on Wednesday 1st July to hear from across our inspiring coalition, share your stories of this heatwave, and find out about how the campaign continues. Link to sign up & register in the bio.

The media and ministers are finally starting to listen, the public are on our side, but we haven’t won yet. That’s why we need to hear your inspiring stories. How hot was your work? What helped keep your colleagues safe? How can we take action together to win our demands?

This is going to keep happening, which is why we must use the momentum now to inspire others to get ready to respond when the heat strikes!

Join the rally for a maximum workplace temperature tonight!
