Entering my 30s and leaving some things at the door. 🚪
Here are 5 things I’m releasing from my 20s:
1. Time is not a guarantee — it’s a gift.
Stop waiting for the “right moment.” The moment is now.
2. Fairy tales are beautiful — and they’re fiction.
Dream big, but let your dreams be real enough to actually live in.
3. You don’t need a plan — you need faith.
Humans plan, God laughs. Figure it out as you go and trust the plot twist.
4. Confusion is not failure — it’s the process.
Clarity takes time. Being lost just means you’re still moving.
5. Your timeline is not behind — it’s just yours.
Detroit → Nigeria → back home → still becoming. Every detour was the direction.
My 20s taught me everything I needed to know — including what to leave behind.
To every woman stepping into a new chapter still figuring it out: you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. 🌍❤️

I moved to Nigeria with a vision, a bag, and absolutely no real plan.
Three months later I was back in Detroit ;broke, humbled, and forced to sit with the one thing I’d been avoiding the whole time.
Myself.
I thought a new country would reset me. New energy, new environment, fresh start. What nobody tells you is that you take every unhealed thing with you ;across every ocean, into every new city, through every bold decision.
Losing the money was hard. Losing the fantasy that I could outrun myself? That was the real lesson.
I’ve spent 10 years working in sustainability and justice. I founded @chipbagproject. I’ve done the work ;professionally, externally. But this? This was the inner work showing up whether I was ready or not.
So now I’m rebuilding. Slowly. Intentionally. With a real plan this time.
This page is for women who’ve had a plot twist and are still becoming anyway. The ones doing their best even when the best looks messy. The ones building something meaningful while still figuring themselves out.
