Don’t be quick to say you don’t know how to do a particular thing, or that you don’t understand a particular sector. No knowledge is wasted.

On Episode 43 of Ororun Weekly, first-generation Nigerian lawyer and law school first-class graduate Enoch Akinbusoye Akinlabi talks about navigating the early days of practice.

Currently a trainee associate at Tope Adebayo LP, Enoch explains the shock of being thrown into the deep end of legal practice and why having an open mind is crucial. He shares how entering over 40 essay contests, mock trials, and debates during university handed him the soft skills needed to thrive on the job, and offers his honest take on the law school grading system.

Entry for The Christian Storyteller Prize 2022

"As I slept, I saw a throne lifted high, covered in darkness, and He who was on the throne spoke to me, but I couldn’t understand. It felt like gibberish, the kind of gibberish when your TV Antennae refuses to connect.... "

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm enamoured with LMUN
You should be too

On a more serious note though, do you know that the Lagos Model United Nations Conference is the largest youth led MUN conference in West Africa. There's an opportunity to participate in this gathering of enlightened youths come September. If you haven't heard about the Lagos Model United Nations 2022 Conference, this is a wake up call. Don't be told about it after the conference has taken place. There's still ample time to register and plan towards the conference. Come join us🙃🌚
