Earlier this month, we had the honor of receiving a Julia Morgan Award at the historic Green Room in San Francisco. Hosted by the ICAA Northern California Chapter, we were thrilled to have our Pebble Beach project win in the “Architecture – Restoration / Renovation” category. Of the project, the awards jury said:

“This Pebble Beach house shows an understanding of mid-coast California architecture. It exemplifies a sophisticated consistency of design and sensitivity to this beautiful part of the Pacific environment. The combination of woods, furniture, window placement, and detail rounds out this beautiful house.”

My sincere thanks to @classicist_org and @icaanocal, chapter president Nancy O’Connor, and the team who put this great event together.

A West Texas Estancia. We are honored to share that our Texas Ranch project was featured in the Fall 2026 issue of @traditionalhome. Huge thanks to editor-in-chief @jillwaage, style & design editor @krissa_rossbund, and writer @sarahwolferson for the fantastic feature.

Designed as a multi-generational retreat for a growing family, this new build was designed to express the hand of the craftsman in every detail.

Inspired by the estancias of Argentina, the resilient single-story home is centered around the cookshack, the heart of every ranch and a natural gathering place for family and friends.

The home incorporates a water-source geothermal heating and cooling system with individual thermostats in each bedroom, alongside bespoke plaster fireplaces, private sitting areas, ensuite bathrooms, and dedicated entrances that open directly onto the expansive courtyard.

We are thrilled to share that our Queen Anne Revived project with interior designer Blake Pike of @twelveinteriors was featured on the cover of the Aug. 1 issue of Hamptons @cottagesgardens. Huge thanks to @mrclintsmith, Shannon Assenza, and @jean.nayar for the fantastic feature.
The Shelter Island summer home for Blake and her husband, Chad Pike, was originally built in the mid-1880s and needed a new interior layout and an exterior refresh. As the property could not accommodate an addition, we temporarily lifted the house off its foundation to excavate below and create a fully functional lower level, now home to a mahogany-paneled billiards room and bar, guest suite, and media room.

The renovation also included extending the porch to wrap around three sides of the home and designing a new pool house, inspired by the detailing of the main house just steps away.

An extension toward the garden allowed us to introduce a large game space and an informal dining area to this Stone Manse residence. By incorporating French doors, expansive windows, and a new skylight, the room is now completely enveloped in natural light from four sides.

Classical revival on the West Coast: This Northern California home translates traditional East Coast Georgian architecture. One of our favorite vistas is the view looking back from the pool house, where mature olive trees frame the architecture.
