Still in a summer state of mind. Five pools in five distinct settings - all designed by McGraw PR clients - giving us plenty of reasons to stay outdoors.

A West Texas Estancia. We are honored to share that our Texas Ranch project was featured in the Fall 2026 issue of @traditionalhome. Huge thanks to editor-in-chief @jillwaage, style & design editor @krissa_rossbund, and writer @sarahwolferson for the fantastic feature.

Designed as a multi-generational retreat for a growing family, this new build was designed to express the hand of the craftsman in every detail.

Inspired by the estancias of Argentina, the resilient single-story home is centered around the cookshack, the heart of every ranch and a natural gathering place for family and friends.

The home incorporates a water-source geothermal heating and cooling system with individual thermostats in each bedroom, alongside bespoke plaster fireplaces, private sitting areas, ensuite bathrooms, and dedicated entrances that open directly onto the expansive courtyard.

Just featured on the cover of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens (@hcandg), this classic Shelter Island getaway by @twelveinteriors and @ericjsmitharchitect was redesigned with a reverence for history and an appreciation for modern family life. Carefully selected antiques nod to the home’s Victorian roots, while fabrics like our #ChestnutsAndLilacs (shown here) create a bespoke, layered look.

“I always like a home to look collected with layers that feel like they’ve been accumulated over the years,” says designer Blake Pike. That philosophy shaped the transformation of her family’s 1875 Victorian summer home on Shelter Island. Working with architect Eric J. Smith, Pike thoughtfully reimagined the historic residence, preserving its character while creating spaces designed for gathering, entertaining, and everyday family life. Layered with English antiques, collected art, and details inspired by the home’s waterfront setting, every room honors the past while embracing the way the family lives today. Transforming our wish list into architecture is the first step in designing our new home.

I’m starting with how I want the house to feel, not just how I want it to look. Once the architecture is established, the design decisions become so much easier.

I’ve been loving deepening my understanding of architecture alongside @vanpondarchitectpllc
