This post is a bit overdue, but even a month later, I’m still reflecting on this mission trip

These are only a few glimpses of the beauty and culture of Mexico City, but they don’t fully capture the deeper things God was doing in my heart and in the lives of the people around me. Spending time at UNAM was such a blessing. Seeing how diverse, vibrant, and full of life it is, and getting to serve alongside such an amazing team, is something I’ll never forget. I’m so grateful for every conversation, every laugh, and the way God was already moving there before we even arrived. One day that especially impacted me was partnering with Hope of the Poor, where we listened to and learned from the lives of people living on the streets. Despite their pain and hardship they were some of the most joyful, welcoming, and genuine people I’ve ever met. The kids ran up to us with huge smiles and open arms, a reminder of the love that exists in places the world often overlooks. I feel incredibly blessed by this opportunity and truly changed. God was present in every moment, and I’m still finding the words for it all. I’m walking away wanting to love more deeply, give more freely, and live with greater intention. Lead with kindness, and don’t overlook those the world so easily passes by. ♡ † by @ericka.schmidty
