The World Cup Is Upon Us! @carolcooks and I had an idea years ago about shooting a full commercial w my nephew, Ubalo, showing his love and dedication to soccer (futbol) while he was doing his yearly visit to NYC from Tanzania. We dreamed up a spot for sports merch that moves away from the “fan-in-stands” narrative and celebrated fans who are also athletes. With a very small, dedicated crew, and no budget, we were able to shoot this spec with him to celebrate this amazing game and his love for the sport, just in time for the World Cup!
