ABSORBER _ Teaser
—-HEADPHONES—-

A short film I’ve carried close since it first took shape on the page, and held even closer through the making of it. So thankful to the friends who showed up and gave so much of themselves to bring it to life.

Massive thanks to @cassidygearhart for your editing genius, and for attacking the story shoulder to shoulder with me.

@ericulbrich for the beautiful images we chased and caught together.

@sethricart @sheinadao and the whole @rcocolor team for the color, the finishing, and for pulling this across the line with me.

To the one and only @echolab @echogav who went above and beyond to bring my score and his incredible sound design together in the mix.

@robertsmyth for your story insights.

@andrestringer for your generosity with the gear.

@lithiumaerials for flying with us.

@annikarosss @dogtownfilm @meganseely_ for your incredible talent and patience. So immensely thankful.

And thank you to the entire crew, @jbargiel @hollyhorne @drk.hso @mkittappa @sander._.ceramics Every one of you.

Special thanks to @scottfranklin33 for supporting this project.

A Patreon is coming soon. If you want to help support this film, it’s also a way to help make the next one. More info to follow.

Full film coming soon.
Premiering at LA SHORTS, August 11th at 10PM, with more festivals (hopefully) to follow, then online.

Morning Routine. My favorite 3 minutes of everyday. I’ve always loved home movies from the 70’s. 8mm, the grain the halation, the bloom. It felt always nostalgic in a way that was special, of another world. I made this today so Morgan would have a little piece of that feeling when she is older. I want her to feel the magic of the visual medium as I do daily. While this isn’t film I tried to do as much as I could to give it the feel and keep the camera playful and flowing. by @ericulbrich
