Germany/Austria photo dump!

This trip was epic. Not gonna lie, I was pretty anxious going into it. I hadn't left the girls for longer than 2 nights before this trip. I felt so much mom guilt leaving them for 11 days. But I knew they were fine, better than fine. They have the most amazing dad and grandparents who gave them so much love and attention while I was gone. I don't take this for granted. I know that we have an incredible village helping to raise our girls, and I am beyond grateful to all of them for making this trip possible 🩷 taken in Salzburg, Austria by @erikasherven

Legit hanging out in the clouds yesterday!

One day, I'll get to the Eagle's Nest and see the views without the clouds. Third times a charm, right? taken in Eagle's Nest,Berchtesgaden by @erikasherven

The first week of summer holidays were filled with pool days, butterflies, and hanging out with some of our favorite people!

I love watching them play together. It warms my heart seeing how much they love each other. 🩷 by @erikasherven

Just over one year ago was the first rally outside the legislative building in Regina. It's been one year since we have been actively sounding the alarm that our Saskatchewan education system is in critical condition.

The frustration and anger I feel towards our "leaders" within the Sask Party is indescribable. I don't understand how the well-being of children is such a hard sell for the present government.

I'm tired of fighting and using my voice when it is falling on ears of the Sk Party who are unwilling to listen. But I will not stop. Our kids deserve better. On May 8th and 9th, teachers will vote on whether or not to accept the 'final' offer from the government. Without question, I am voting NO. If we accept this deal, then the past year will have been for nothing.

Most of us teachers are parents too. These sanctions have affected us not only professionally but personally as well. We're tired of this game the government is playing. But that is what they are counting on. They want us to lose hope and give in like all the times before this.

I am grateful to the STF and the incredible leadership they have shown over the past year. We teach children not to tolerate bullies, and we are finally standing up to ours. #iamstf by @erikasherven

This is the first time ever I'm away from the girls for an entire weekend. So, I'm obviously spending most of my time looking at pictures and videos of these cute things I made. 🩷🩷 by @erikasherven

Today, thousands of teachers braved the extreme weather conditions to march in protest of the government's dismissive attitude towards the students and teachers of this province. We didn't choose this fight, but we know that it must happen for the sake of education in Saskatchewan.

I have sent some strongly worded emails to our government these past few months, and I really encourage everyone to contact their MLA or the Minister of Education and do the same. Things need to change. The stakes are just too high.
