Our pumpkins are lit and they’re expecting company. Tuesday, October 20, Simple EJ’s in Fox Haven Square turns into a carving party for the whole family.

Pick your hour: 4, 5, or 6 PM. One Family Pass at $19.99 covers the crew. We handle the pumpkin, two kids meals, the carving tools, and the cleanup. Charlie shows up. There are games with candy prizes. A photographer is on site, so for once you’re in the picture instead of taking it.

Both Chicago teams are playing October baseball. The Cubs are in, and the Sox went from back-to-back 100-loss seasons to the playoffs. So we’re tipping our cap to the Cubs and Sox legends of yesteryear, one from each side of town at every spot, counting down No. 10 through No. 6.

Every legend comes with his order at EJ’s.

Rod Beck wants an ice cold Old Style. Obviously.
Ron Kittle wants the pretzel the size of a steering wheel.
José Cardenal wants a quiet booth. No crickets.
A.J. wants the Scotch Bonnet wings. He’s sending them back anyway.
