There’s no place like home 💚👻🎃 by @erin.e.arnold

A camping trip for the books 🏕️🫈🪵 by @erin.e.arnold

Picked this book up at the library on a random Tuesday and it has now impacted how I view motherhood, homemaking, and homeschooling. 🧺✨🌻🤍

Almost a year old, which is unfair. She’s got the sweetest demeanor, loves to cuddle, now can high-five and clap. Loves a screeching match with her sister 🥴😂 can’t wait to celebrate her first year so soon!! by @erin.e.arnold

A strong day to end the week! Loving our rhythm we have going right now ✨🫶🏼🤍

So thankful for @chenowethcreative and the way she captured this sweet season for us. The cliché saying “the days are long but the years are short” is annoyingly true. I’m just thankful the Lord pursued my stubborn heart enough for me to finally listen and soak in these years at home with them. Tough days happen, lessons are tricky, messes are inevitable, but these pictures remind me that we’re together and there’s no way to get a redo of these little years. Raising tiny disciples is such a privilege that I’ll never take for granted. by @erin.e.arnold

She’s got 2 new teeth, fangs coming in on top first 😂 we’re trying more foods slowly as she had an allergic reaction to an oatmeal blend but loves her fruits & veggies! She’s getting more coordination in her little chubby hands so she can grab & play with toys more often. Had her first session of football game brainwashing and doesn’t seem to mind, except would prefer if the Tigers would get it together 🤦‍♀️😂🏈 by @erin.e.arnold

He asked if he could help me paint his sister’s new room. My honest initial thoughts?

He’ll make a mess, there will be streak marks, it won’t look perfect. Then, I was immediately convicted.

He can’t learn if I don’t allow him the space to do so. I want my home to be a safe place where they can make mistakes and to not be wired the way I have been that it’s not even worth it to try if it’s not perfect. That mindset has held me back more times in my life than I’d like to admit.

So here we are, painting together. I’m so thankful for his sweet servant’s heart!😭🤍

I used to think ministry came with a specific job title. That in order to “do ministry” you had to work for a church. And then I became a mother. Slowly the definition of ministry has shifted into seeing every part of my day as ministry. Folding the clothes - ministry. Cooking dinner - ministry. Talking to a friend - ministry. Teaching my children - ministry. Smiling at a stranger - ministry. There is no limit to the ways we can become the hands & feet of Jesus in our every day life. Each moment is an opportunity to serve. And for me, that has made me reframe even the most mundane into tiny little miracles. 🪞🕊️✨🤍

I have been feeling a shift ever since I said “ok” to following this homeschool journey. Being met with resistance, both physically and mentally is almost always the case when you’re on the right path. The enemy loves to bring back his very first lie going back to the Garden: “Did God really say that?”

Such a simple, yet powerful question that will literally stop you in your tracks. But you remain obedient because you know what God has said. Obedience looks so different to each and every one of us. The call to be faithful in the home is not just a term for homeschool families. Being faithful in your home is however God has called it to look for you, and only you! How sweet is that? We serve a good God and I’m excited to continue to see the fruit from this season of saying “yes.” 🤍
