Took a big ship on a cruise out of Galveston with 16 family members in July and it was fabulous! Lots of fun family gatherings, games, great food and quality time! Then we flew to Minneapolis to see Preston for a day and loved time with him too! Paxson also got to be in Spain when they won the World Cup (visiting his fiancé who was studying abroad there)!! @todberkey and I were super blessed to lead a mission trip to Stockholm, Sweden in May with an incredible team of young adults from Junction. We spent time at two universities, met a bunch of students we were able to share about God’s love with and loved learning about the wonderful Swedish culture. One of our favorite parts was “fika”—a time to gather in the afternoon with friends, coffee and Swedish pastries!! So good! The place and the people were fantastic and we are so thankful to have experienced both! by @erinberkey

I have been praying for Paxson’s future wife since I found out I was having a boy 21 years ago, and what incredible joy it is to now know WHO she is! Paxson Layne Cole Berkey asked Leah Miller to marry him on Friday and she said yes!! They had the BEST. DAY. EVER. in Austin and ended the evening at Mount Bonnell, a special place they’d been before. It rained all day and we prayed the skies would part around Mount Bonnell and they did! He proposed with a wonderful setup including a new Bible with “Leah Berkey” already on it!

On Saturday Leah’s amazing parents Jennifer Harwell Miller and Lane Miller hosted a beautiful engagement party for them and we celebrated with many friends and family members. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Leah as our daughter-in-love for so many reasons—she adores Paxson and is a woman of deep character and love for Jesus and others, plus she’s super fun!! They met in 5th grade and were friends for years before they realized God was drawing them together.

One of sweet ways we’ve seen God’s provision is that after Paxson lost his Dad Layne Cole to brain cancer when he was 4, he has been fiercely loved and intentionally led by Tod Berkey since he was 8, and now he will gain a wonderful father-in-law also named Lane! What are the odds of that?!

We can’t wait for Paxson Layne Cole Berkey and Leah Lane Miller (Berkey!) to become one in Christ in marriage and know they’ll be a powerful team for Him. We praise God in amazement for His indescribable gifts! by @erinberkey

Happy 60th Anniversary to Tod’s parents (Pat & Denny) on 9/12/25! We celebrated with a trip to Mexico the day after with me, Tod, his sister Wendy & her husband Blaire, Pat & Denny & my dad Pat & stepmom Rosanne. It was a wonderful week—two couple couples in their 50s two in their 80s meant lots of rest and being in bed by 9 p.m.! One of my favorite weekends of the whole year is spending time with my college girlfriends! 18 of us met in Playa Del Carmen for a weekend at the beach to celebrate many of us turning 50 this year!! I am so blessed to have these deep, intentional friendships for so long. June 11 marked 50 years God has gifted me on this earth! Hard to believe I’ve lived half a century, and I am so thankful to Him for walking with me and providing for me in seasons of deep joy and intense sorrow. I praise Him for my family, friends and church family at @gracebible (Grace Bible Church) and @junctionbcs (Junction Young Adults) for caring for me and pointing me to Christ for years! Today would have been the day @prestonberkey walked the stage for his high school graduation, but in true Preston fashion, he was ready for the next phase of life early. He completed his coursework in December, packed up and moved to Houston in March. Now he’s working full-time for Aptive Environmental pest control company doing door-to-door sales and is absolutely crushing it! He trained hard, is learning tons, knocks on over 1000 doors a week and has earned several rewards for his sales. We are so proud of him and miss him, but it’s amazing to see him get after it and try adulting! I took his senior portraits last month at his great-grandfather’s place—had to dust off the professional camera! Please join us in praying for him and his future!
