Took a big ship on a cruise out of Galveston with 16 family members in July and it was fabulous! Lots of fun family gatherings, games, great food and quality time! Then we flew to Minneapolis to see Preston for a day and loved time with him too! Paxson also got to be in Spain when they won the World Cup (visiting his fiancé who was studying abroad there)!! Team Berkey was all over this summer!

words can’t express how blessed I am by these women (and so many who weren’t there)! this beautiful baby shower was such a sweet reminder of God’s faithfulness and the incredible community He’s surrounded us with. THANK YOU to everyone who celebrated, prayed (and is praying) over, encouraged, and loved on our Harlowe girl. Her life is a miracle and she is already so deeply loved 🥹 thank you Jesus!

Happy 60th Anniversary to Tod’s parents (Pat & Denny) on 9/12/25! We celebrated with a trip to Mexico the day after with me, Tod, his sister Wendy & her husband Blaire, Pat & Denny & my dad Pat & stepmom Rosanne. It was a wonderful week—two couple couples in their 50s two in their 80s meant lots of rest and being in bed by 9 p.m.! So thankful for 60 years of marriage and a legacy of Godly leadership and love towards their family and so many others.

We met when we were just kids at Texas A&M and, when we graduated, we committed to getting together every summer for a weekend. And we have. We’ve seen each other through a lot over 27 years, and we’re all pretty different, but it’s our commitment to Jesus (and to fun!) that has kept us coming back. These ladies encourage my faith and challenge me to love my husband, my boys, my friends, and my church. What a gift!

Also, the weekend just so happened to fall on my birthday! Not a bad way to spend my last year in my 40’s.

The reception dancing at Caroline & Grayden’s wedding was on fire because Paxson (aka @djsolidshadow) played some awesome tunes and kept the dance floor full!!

Wedding morning fun!! I was honored to be included in wedding morning girl fun as they prepared for the big day! I took photos, helped with tasks and loved being with them with @woodykatyduke!

Team Berkey is in Baton Rouge to celebrate the wedding of @graydenmiller and @carolinechalas tomorrow!! It’s already been amazing with a lovely bridal tea this morning. Can’t wait for the festivities and wedding day!!

Team Berkey was blessed to sail on a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Galveston with 19 of our family members last week! It was a fun and full week with lots of family time!

An amazing Grace Women’s Night enjoying our powerful Grace worship team & dynamic teaching with @jenwilkin ! All @gracebible campuses lifting high the name of Jesus! My beloved Amber @arob03 sent this pic & I was struck by the beauty & laughter of women in (literally) in 4 stages of life & STILL able to reconnect and rejoice together! 750 women from all walks of life & different churches who wanted to hear from Jesus ! And wow! He refilled our spirits & refocused our commitment to knowing His Word even more deeply! Thank you to all our @gracebible women’s leaders who worked so hard to refresh others ! My GPA might not show it but here’s to a Successful Semester! Praising Our Almighty God for his faithfulness in his continual pursuit of me in his forgiveness! A new life in Christ is where I put my hope in! I had the privilege to celebrate that with a baptism!Thankful for the friends and encouragement the lord has blessed me with!:) “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.“

This past weekend was 25 years of what we call Girls Weekend. We’re friends from college @tamu who long ago committed to gathering the last weekend in July every year, and we’ve done just that. (If you’ve read Messy Beautiful Friendship, you know about this group.)

I love these ladies. They knew me before I was a wife, a mom, and a writer, and no matter if I was encountering heartache or heights in these 25 years, they’ve cheered me on and reminded me of truth. And hopefully I’ve done the same for them.

Our conversations have transitioned over the years from newlywed concerns and adult singleness to, now, launching kids and menopause.

There’s nothing quite like 25 years of friendship. And absolutely nothing quite like 25 years of friendship with women who love Jesus.
