Coinciding with Rutherglen’s 900th year of being a Scottish Royal Burgh, I’ve been working alongside the fantastic @grow.73 and #rail74crp to redesign the mural I painted with @chelseafrew at Rutherglen Train Station in 2018.

I’ve been capturing some photographs that will inspire the final design, along with pieces of history and heritage provided by the team at @rutherglen900

The stories within the original mural resonated with local people, so we felt it was only right to include some of the most prominent ones in the new design too.

Stay tuned for the final results. 🧑‍🎨

The only thing that trickles down is the blood sweat and tears of ordinary people. 🩸🩸🩸

@flux__video came to film us painting this piece for the @jealous_london rooftop mural back in June. With Nigel Farage winning the farcical Clacton by-election, I thought now might be a good time to remind ourselves what people like Farage are there to do - uphold the status quo, make the rich richer, while exploiting and neglecting ordinary people.

Thank you to:

@jealous_london for having us paint at their exceptional rooftop space and for welcoming us with warmth and kindness.

@flux__video for bringing your expertise and capturing the process so beautifully - as you always do.

@elladavisart for her outstanding assistant muralist skills, good vibes, and gymnastics.

@rossbside for kindly sharing his spray paint knowledge and skills for the text pieces.

ADHD or creative flow? Does it even matter anyway? Some thoughts on my creative process while I make some stuff.

My piece for the wholly inspiring @seedheadarts Hit The North festival in Belfast at the weekend💥

I was feeling the phone addiction blues when I made this design so it felt cathartic to paint and, shock horror, I was not on my phone while making this - except to document. I hope this piece will be a wee reminder to look up from our phones and make art, connect with real people, our real selves, and nature in the real life world.

This piece couldn’t have been completed without the help of my fantastic wee cuz @elladavisart 👩🏼‍🎨 This was the first mural she has worked on and it shouldn’t be her last - she’s a natural. Thank you for all your hard work and good vibes. It was a pleasure to see your confidence grow over the weekend. Keep painting! ✨❤️

A huge thank you to @seedheadarts for having me over and for welcoming me into the HTN community. And thank you to the amazing people below for your kindness over the weekend:

I run a serious art business. Watch me achieve my goals and turn plywood into profit. Nothing can stop me. Not even a sprained foot. 💪

We Belong tae Glaschu, and also to a free Scotland where creativity for ALL is supported, encouraged and valued by our government. We belong to the place, the land, the culture, the heritage, the people, but what we do not belong to is a government that does not genuinely care about us. It’s not good enough, and we don’t have to accept it. Keep creating, keep conversing, keep learning, keep connecting, keep empathising, keep organising, keep speaking up. We’re worth far more than they try to make us believe. 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you to @yardworksglasgow for having me paint this as part of the ParkXR exhibit in June.

A special thank you to @pizza_boy_uk for lending his time, skills, energy and company to help me get it done. Wit a bhoy. ✨

Well, that truly was a DREAM! A huge well done to the very dedicated team at @yardworksglasgow for making it all happen, and to every one of the artists who contributed to the event making it so special.

Thank you to my helpers @hewytattooy and @flux_video for picking up a brush and helping me stay between the lines. Big love 🧡💛🖤💚💙💖 taken in SWG3 by @erinbradleyscott
