I honestly didn’t realize that one of the hardest decisions of my life would lead to so many meaningful adventures, lessons, and connections.

Looking back, I’m grateful for what the painful chapters taught me. Not because they were easy, but because they pushed me to rebuild with more intention.

4 lessons I hope can serve someone who feels lost right now:
1. Look within.
You are not a failure. You are not unworthy. Sometimes, our brightest light is discovered in the darkest seasons.

2. Trust the process.
You don’t have to see the whole path. Take the next right step and let faith guide the rest. You are not alone. Invite God and genuine people into your journey, too.

3. Invest in your growth.
Mentorship, learning, and becoming more visible can open doors you couldn’t see before. For me, it strengthened my credibility, aligned me with better opportunities, and brought quality people into my circle.

4. Stay humble.
Be willing to receive hard feedback, keep learning, and become someone new.

And perhaps my biggest lesson:
Success isn’t just about how much you make. It’s about what your success makes possible.
What good can you create?
Who can you help?
Do you still have your health, relationships, joy, and peace?

Today, I feel more successful than ever, not because I have or have done more, but because my life feels more aligned with who I am and what I’m here to contribute.

That’s also why I created Aceland: a space where people can be themselves, express their creativity, connect authentically, and rediscover their joy.

If you’re in a rebuilding season, I hope you remember:
You may not see the purpose of this chapter yet. Keep walking. Your next chapter may be more beautiful than you imagined. 🤍 by @ernablooms

POV: you get robbed, but you’re also a Founder and Clarity Coach who doesn’t do drama 😆
Don’t panic under pressure. Ask better questions. Even the “criminal” gets a clarity session he didn’t ask for.

That’s the whole job, honestly. Founders come to me feeling stuck and lost in piles of priorities. Together, we find the deep, honest questions that flip the whole scene.

Turns out even a robber needs a Truth Mirror moment 📖. Get your Truth Mirror book on Amazon, way less illegal than my last transaction. Link in bio.👆
That way, nobody has to steal anything to find clarity. 🕶️ by @ernablooms

I’m 51… and I’m a little embarrassed to admit these.

1. I stayed married for 18 years because I didn’t believe in divorce. I finally separated in 2019 and divorced in 2023 because I no longer felt physically or mentally safe to fully live my purpose. It was one of the hardest transitions of my life… and it built me.

2. I tolerated mistreatment longer than I should have. I confused standing by people with abandoning myself. Now I realize every time I walked away, I was actually walking toward where I truly belong.

3. It took me until 2023 to become intentional about my physical and mental wellness. Consistent Zumba, better eating, therapy, journaling, and deep healing changed me from the inside out.

4. I used to play small to make others comfortable. In 2024, I started saying, “No, thank you,” to people and opportunities that disrupted my peace and growth. My intuition became louder than the noise around me.

5. I didn’t create my own Blooming Aces brand until six years into my business. I relied on referrals and used my art brand instead. I now see that I was building before I fully understood the power of my own character brand.

6. I’ve experienced non-paying clients and scary months in business. But those seasons deepened my faith in God and taught me to do my best… and let God do the rest.

7. I used to fear success because I was afraid of disappointing people who believed in me. Now, I’m more focused on not disappointing myself by never going for it.

8. I used to struggle asking for help because I feared the expectations attached to it. Through genuine relationships, I learned that life becomes more meaningful when we take turns supporting each other.

At 51, I’m choosing kindness for the woman who chose integrity, love, and patience, even when it was hard.

My biggest challenge was doubting my intuition and listening to the noise around me.

If you relate, you are not alone. 🤍
Don’t wait for permission to choose yourself and your dreams. If something feels off, listen in. If you can imagine it, you can build it.

Stepping into my 8.0 version of becoming 😊
Follow my lessons as we heal, build, and bloom together.

Which version are you becoming? 🤍 by @ernablooms

With the rise of AI & faceless social media accounts, we need to be more vigilant in spotting what’s real & what’s not. (Scam Survivor Series, Episode 3)

I’m a Scam Survivor turned Scambuster. Instead of shaming the victims, we should redirect the shame to the scammers & break the silence.

There are 4 phases that scammers roll out to complete their mission. In Episode 2, we covered Phase 1: Connecting & Trust Building phase. In today’s video, I’m sharing Phase 2: the Big Hope Building Phase, as I experienced it in 2 situations: an influencer love scam & a Bitcoin investment scam. This is the phase where your own hope starts doing the scammer’s work.

Follow along to stay sharp, safe, & sound.
Phase 3 is next.

Scammers are the bullies of our era. (Scam Survivor Series, Episode 2)

I’m a scam survivor. Instead of shaming the victims, we should redirect the shame to the scammers & break the silence. As a community, we become more vigilant & safer when we know their tricks.

There are 4 phases that scammers roll out to complete their mission. In today’s video, I’m sharing Phase 1: the Connecting & Trust Building Phase, as I experienced it in 2 situations: an influencer love scam & a Bitcoin investment scam.

How it happened is not as simple as most people think.

I’m a Scam Survivor. (Scam Survivor Series, Episode 1)

I’ve finally made peace with it & grounded myself enough to share my story from 2021 that I used to feel embarrassed about.

I’ve dodged hundreds of scam attempts. And I still fell for two: an influencer love scam & a Bitcoin investment love scam. If this has happened to you, I deeply understand.

Scams thrive on silence, & I’d rather share my story than let someone else walk into the same trap.

Getting scammed says nothing about how smart you are. Scammers look for caring, generous, & optimistic people: the curious, those who feel guilty for not helping, & even risk-takers trying to create better opportunities for themselves & their loved ones.

Nearly 1 in 4 adults in the US have been scammed at some point in their lives (Gallup, 2026). It happens to men & women alike.

There is a lot to unpack from this experience, so I created a video series to share the patterns & phases scammers use, as well as the lessons that built me.

I hope my experience helps you avoid the situation, or navigate it if you happen to be in it. Follow along to keep you sharp, safe, & sound. 🫶

Sunset with sunglasses vs. reality.
Unpopular opinion: what if some lenses make life more beautiful?

We often hear that we see people and life through lenses shaped by trauma, societal conditioning, experiences, and biases.

And sometimes, taking those lenses off gives us clarity.

But what if your lens isn’t always the problem?
Clarity doesn’t always mean seeing everything exactly “as is.”

Sometimes, we need to see ourselves and others just a little further, a little more positively, and a little closer to who we could become.

Maybe seeing the possibility in someone can help raise the bar around us.

Maybe the goal isn’t to remove every lens.

Maybe it’s to become conscious of the lens we’re choosing to look through and why.

What I wish I knew at 30, not 50, about surgery & family time

Time is one of the most valuable resources we have, especially when someone we love needs us.

This time, I was able to take a couple of days off to be fully present for my Mom before, during, and after her surgery.

It reminded me of my corporate years. I could take time off then, but my phone would still be buzzing, my mind would still be working, and I couldn’t have been as present.

I’m grateful everything went smoothly, and thankful to @hoaghealth medical team, and everyone who knew about my Mom’s surgery and checked in on her. ❤️

Going through two very different surgery experiences with my parents taught me:

1. Get second or third opinions.
Do your due diligence and find a doctor and treatment plan you can trust. With my Dad’s kidney stone surgery, we later learned there may have been a less invasive laser option that could have potentially avoided some of his complications.

2. Your mental state matters.
Going into surgery feeling supported, calm, and hopeful can make a difference throughout recovery.

3. Surround yourself with people who care.
When our family faced a difficult decision about my Dad’s life support in 2021, we turned to prayer and drove overnight to be by his side. He pulled through. ❤️

4. Understand your insurance before you need it.
Know your coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and whether your procedure and providers are covered.

5. Bring positive energy.
Calm conversations, encouraging words, and music can help. I played a calming playlist for my Mom on the way to surgery. 🎶

6. Ask questions and build trust with your medical team.
You’re trusting them with someone you love. Be informed, respectful, kind, and involved.

At 30, I thought I had plenty of time.
At 50, I’m realizing time with the people we love is one of our greatest forms of wealth.

What has surgery taught you about family, time, or life? ❤️

Side note: Posting this today from yesterday’s event so I could stay present with my family. ❤️ by @ernablooms

From suicidal at 13 to leaving my six-figure career at 40…
At 13: I wanted to end my life. I prayed for a life worth living
At 16: I was painfully shy. Art became my voice.
At 18: I moved to US with broken English, chasing a future I couldn’t yet see.
At 25: I earned my B.A. while five months pregnant. Then postpartum depression left me feeling completely alone.
At 26: I started my career building global brands behind the scenes. I barely saw my family or even the sunshine.
At 29: I became an Art Director, traveled to China and Paris. I thought I’d made it.
At 37: Losing a close friend to cancer reminded me life could short.
At 38: Meeting a full-time artist reignited the passion I’d buried for years.
At 39: I debuted & sold my Curious Morphologie art. That’s when I found my purpose: connecting people through art.
At 40: I left my 15-year career for funpreneurship, choosing purpose and freedom.

I finally found the happiness my dad always told me to pursue. Today, I’m building a fulfilling life and helping others create theirs. by @ernablooms

Why Businesses Fail: Personal Brand Matters. 9 character traits of successful founders.

Personal branding isn’t just about how you show up. It’s about who you are when no one’s watching.

After 23+ years of working with founders, I’ve seen how character can shape the way people trust you, follow you, and build with you.

That’s why I created these 9 character traits of sustainable founders, spelling CHARACTER:
C — Courageous
H — Humble
A — Authentic
R — Respectful
A — Accountable
C — Compassionate
T — Trustworthy
E — Ethical
R — Resilient

Because your brand may get attention, but your character earns trust.

Which one resonates with you most? 👇 by @ernablooms

10 Things I Learned From My Flops:

1. One month into my first freelance job, got laid off over budget cuts → Met with the agency owner, reminded him what my supervisor promised. Got a month’s extension, enough to land a full-time job. Never give up trying.

2. My boss said a hard no to my first ask to become Art Director → I claimed the title in my mind, outperformed as one anyway (unpaid), until it became official 3 years later.

3. Made an early production mistake that almost cost thousands → My suppliers, treated like my teachers, fixed it at no extra cost. Relationships matter.

4. Sacrificed family time & health climbing the ladder until high blood pressure forced me to slow down → Still, I never missed my daughters’ performances, made time for play dates, volunteered as art docent. Money is replenishable, time isn’t. Left corporate to build a biz where presence for my family is non-negotiable.

5. After 15 years designing for global brands, an NDA forced me to start over from zero → My corporate relationships sent referrals for 11 years, rebuilding me as Blooming Aces Creative.

6. Lost $15K+ in unpaid work trusting the wrong clients → Instead of suing, I restructured proposals to require deposits upfront, filtering out the wrong ones.

7. Ran out of money waiting months for clients to decide → I rebuilt my payment plans better, so projects & payments kept moving.

8. Lost my car during Covid to keep the business alive, borrowed money from family → Made friends with Uber drivers & got client referrals, closed deals from the back seat. Paid loans back with more interest than any bank; family became my investors.

9. Maxed out my credit cards investing in my own skills and mindset → Betting on myself pulled me out of survival mode into higher network & projects I finally felt worthy charging for.

10. Burned out after big launches, lost consistency, watched products & posts flop → Now, I build for sustainability beyond the launch day.

What is the one lesson you learned from your flops?
