Noah,

It’s hard for me to fully understand and accept that you’re becoming a young man. As your dad, I’ve spent your whole life protecting you, guiding you, and being there whenever you needed me. Watching that little boy slowly grow into someone who needs me a little less each day is one of the hardest parts of being a father.

I know it’s time for me to start trusting you to make more of your own decisions, and I promise I’ll work on giving you the independence you’ve earned. It won’t always be easy for me, but I know it’s part of helping you become the man you’re meant to be.

I need you to know how incredibly proud I am of you. You’re an amazing kid, and I know I don’t always do the best job of showing it. When I’m hard on you, it’s never because you’re not enough. It’s because I see the greatness inside of you, and I want to help you become everything you’re capable of being.

That greatness—the kindness, determination, and character you have—will take you wherever you want to go in life. Never doubt that.

I’ll always be your biggest supporter, and no matter how old you get or how independent you become, you’ll always be my son. Thank you for giving me the privilege of being your dad.

Just wanted to thank everyone who reached out this week! Seriously, all the encouragement and support has helped keep me motivated!

Thanks @charmingteacher06 for challenging me even though you hate when I get competitive. You’re the real MVP ♥️

Most of all I want to shoutout @ngarza99gk! I don’t know if you realize how much watching you work toward your goals has motivated me. Seeing the time, effort, and heart you’re putting into your goalkeeping training makes me want to push myself and be better too. I’m really proud of you, Noah, and I hope you know that you’re inspiring me more than you probably realize!

The goal is 15 miles a week 🏃‍♂️

So far my best mile is 17’58” I know it’s not great 😂 but it’s a starting point.
