To my husband, I’m thankful I found you. I wanted to take a moment to recognize the fact that you always put in that extra time with the kids that I know they won’t forget when they are older. The cold nights and hot days in the sun for soccer. The half days at work to take the photos at award ceremonies, the weekends that have slowly been taken over by sports and talking about secretly loving every minute. Our kids never wonder where they stand with you, they know they are loved and you would do anything for them. You millennial dad SO HARD and I love watching it. Happy Father’s Day Baby!

This school year has been one of the hardest for many reasons. One of which is saying goodbye to being a teacher and having one classroom of kids per year. I made a hard choice, but one I don’t regret ,to apply for, interview, and ultimately accept a position as a “teacher on assignment” as a Literacy Coach. I can help more students and use the years of experience and understanding of the scaffolds in learning to read to ultimately move kids forward on their journey as readers no matter their age. As well as support new teachers and teachers who are using new materials feel successful no matter how long they have been in a classroom. I stared to find myself distancing, second guessing, feeling “off” these last couple months. These photos are of things and people who center me, who remind me I am perfect the way I am, and continue to give me the hope, guidance, and ground I ultimately need in my life. The first photo is of me at soccer, both kids are in soccer and they make me proud all the time, then photos of my kids, friends who are family (and my husband’s leg in the pool photo! lol sorry babe, we are just always taking photos of the kids! 🤣), and things that make me feel happy. Here’s to finishing my last two weeks strong and enjoying my time with the students! 20 years went by so fast! #teachersofinstagram #secondgradeteacher #lifeisbeautiful

We have posted sad we have posted happy we have posted her with Dogs.. that she’s been professionally trained that she’s very loving and sweet 🤷🏻‍♀️ she has the cutest prance and she has so many great qualities…

We know her special someone is out there, she has had one application… and unfortunately, she is not a fan of cats..:
starlight is amazing. She needs a home. She has been with our trainer for 10 months and has been very well socialized house and crate trained. She just needs a leader that can continue to set her up for success. She’s petite and the perfect size. ❤️

She needs a home how much longer does she need to wait?

When people say things like, soul healing, or life changing… this is what it looked like for me. Life is never easy, and the most rewarding and powerful things are always the hardest to go through. I didn’t realize how “on empty” I truly was till I literally saw these mountains on our way up to our vacation and snow was falling. I felt like crying because it was that beautiful to experience. Being a teacher is demanding, rewarding, tough, enlightening, and always keeps me humble, but this year has been extremely draining for many reasons. Even 18 years into this job I find myself constantly learning new ways to reach the kids, new heartbreaks in children’s lives to maneuver, relationships to build or rebuild, and uncertainty about my future still looms. When those snow covered mountains came into view, the snow falling around us… I let go. I let go of all the unknowns, I let go of the anger for things I cannot change, I let go of the stress I had been holding onto so tightly because I took on too many things simply because I love my job and students so much. I fell into the snow with my kids and let it fall on me. I was present in the moment. I laughed and ran with them. I went down a makeshift sled of cardboard and laughed as I fell into the snow. The people in these pictures are my happy place. I love them more than I can ever express. They make my life whole. ❤️
