Long project prototype mockup, but after many iterations (it has many failed brothers and sisters in the basement) it works (knock on wood). Now just have cut the legs down to a reasonable height, sand, seal, glue and screw and then it can live in the living room full time. One year later. Next year maybe iterate into a dining room chandelier. Hopefully faster design cycle time. The generic Home Depot chandelier's days are numbered. by @erudite_working_class

Next evolution of the lamp. Make it light up. Don't love the socket just sticking up there, need to do something better there. Do love the smart bulb and smart dimmer dial do-hickey. May need to make replacement parts for the dial do-hickey to blend it in a bit better. Next, legs. by @erudite_working_class

Prototype new standing lamp in process. Tolerances on dowel holes are a "wee" tight but otherwise looking promising. Maybe make a hanging version for a dinning room light? Maybe make a smaller pendant version for the kitchen? Maybe finish one project before starting others. by @erudite_working_class

Not a beach ball, more like a soccer ball. "Can you make it smaller?". Less rgbleds, but at least it's cuter. Banana was eaten for scale. by @erudite_working_class
