in this season
devotion looks like
coming home to my own body
again and again and again.

i can’t get there with my mind
right now my body knows the way
so tending my vessel is the order of the day.

dance is one of the simplest
and most fun ways i know
to amplify + anchor the prayer
to alchemize energy
so i can stay supple, soft, surrendered + strong
as i move through the intensity on this initiatory path
of embodying love and liberation on earth.

i really really hope you’re slowing down
to take care of you
in these extraordinary times.

Woke up today feeling echos across my lifetime of feeling unlovable. Felt every time I've prostituted my heart for love. Every time I abandoned my needs and swallowed my feelings because I thought they didn't matter.

Then God sent this.

Self-love is such a deep practice. It asks me to tend the stories I tell myself, to remember what's actually true, and to choose to believe God/dess when she says, I see you, I love you.

And it lives in the small steps. Today that looks like nourishing food, time in nature, breathing through my practice, and being with my kids.

Seven years ago I heard a version of the song “Holy War” covered by @missamberlily @tubbyloveofficial and @erebert
I fell in love with the harmonies and the message and started carrying it into every stage I got invited into… as a prayer for peace and unity during these wild times where religion has become a source of separation rather than communion with the divinity in all beings.
This past March I reconnected with my dear sister @eset_rose and joined forces to uplift the Gospel of Love. Learning that the song was originally sung by @aliciakeys - I asked if Eset had anything to do with the song, and it turns out that she both co-wrote and produced it.
Two days ago she sang it live for the second time as part of the Gospel of Love at the Heartland Gathering with the @omya.community and it just lit the stage on fire with love and truth… with lines like “peace and love ain’t so far, if we nurse our wounds before they scar”

I always had this sense that I was too much for the spaces I was in, I was always confident, audacious, wise…
some people loved it, many didn’t and made it known,
yet deep down underneath it all, turns out I was wrestling with unworthiness and feeling like I wasn’t enough,
so I’d shrink, self-abandon to be loved, to belong, and eventually it made me very physically ill.

It took me years to find my integrity and authentic expression across multiple facets of my life, as a leader, an artist, a friend, a lover, as a multi-dimensional shape shifting alchemist, an evolutionary being who outgrows what doesn’t grow with her. Learning to own and embody my power and my eros with responsibility and grace. I got it wrong many times. I still do, but now I have the vessel and capacity to catch it sooner, love myself through it, learn take accountability and course correct as a I go.

You’re an artist who is also spiritual, a highly sensitive trailblazer, a leader who sometimes feels like an imposter, questioning who you are and why you do it, maybe even paralyzed by your own past success, and underneath all of it, afraid of your own power. Maybe you’re not who you were and not yet who you’re becoming, and nothing in your life fits the way it used to.

All you want is fulfillment and freedom in your authentic expression, you want creative liberation, to be resourced while doing what you love, and for your presence and work in the world to actually make a positive impact and matter, without clipping your wings or shrinking the fullness of who you are, without burning yourself out and making a prison of your life.

You want to thrive in it, be wild and sovereign, feel peace as you glow, and dare to have fun along the way.

I’m most certainly not here to help you fit in.
I’m here for absolute f*cking brilliance,
for your full unapologetic embodied expression,
and for all of it to finally have somewhere to go.
