October Issue of Ceramics Monthly! It’s here! What a thrilling ride to have met Liz Quackenbush 7 years ago, learn with her, and eventually write this feature❤️. Our interconnections, subtle thread lines, and desire to create beauty never ceases to amaze me. #ceramics #pottery #handmade #handbuiltpottery by @eshaffy

Playing with poppies and dandelions on these slab built mugs. As Fall comes to a close and The Days of Awe shift into another cycle and another season, turning, swirling, persevering. There’s nothing like a Dandelion to remind us to hold fast and strong. They can grow between the smallest cracks and burst into yellow and then, like a song on the wind spread seeds all around. Hope to have them ready for the Seattle Clay Crawl on 10/10 #ceramics #pottery #mugs #clay #dandelion by @eshaffy

WIP’s - hand-building with slab hump molds to make pillows for this vase, a butter dish proto type made from slabs over hand formed almost bisque molds(see last few slides), drawing with underglaze pencil and some transfers on an old bisqued mug, and making some slab mugs and handles 🤩🌻🦋so fun to get a few hours in the studio here and there! All midrange clay bodies - hopefully more images soon #ceramics #handbuiltceramics #clay #pottery #handbuiltpottery by @eshaffy

LIFERING at the Assembly Art Fair. Such a lovely open and light filled space to see art. Tried to tag artists/galleries on the pics. Hoping I got them all - let me know if I missed anything. Seeing the incredible Akio Takamori pieces from James Harris was the highlight for me. And there was so many other high lights! This is a smidge of what was there. And I was snapping pics of mostly clay! #assemblyartfairseattle #art by @eshaffy

A few flowery, colorful mugs - mostly slab, with a pinch mug and wheel thrown/altered in the mix. Decal combo, textured and rolled, underglaze drawn, and a cobalt cutie. Love me some MUGS! Most of these are going to be at Spark and Thread for their garden show opening July 9th! #ceramics #handbuiltceramic #clay #pottery #flowerdesign by @eshaffy
