Thank you @eshaffy for such a fun and educational afternoon...making plaster molds of some favorite forms (scrounged at yard sales, thrift stores, etc). Looking forward to creating new shapes in the clay studio!

A few pieces from my first class with @southendceramicssea. Thank you so much @eshaffy for being a fantastic teacher!

The small bowl is one of the first objects I made.

The floral bowl is built with slabs and texture added with a roller.

The final piece is inspired by Philippine pre-colonial pottery, a traditional palayok shape. This was challenging and rewarding to make. I combined the pinching, coiling, and slab techniques learned throughout the course.

Join J. Rinehart Gallery, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1pm, for an Artist discussion with Lauren Boilini and Eva Funderburgh, moderated by artist, writer, and educator Erin Shafkind. Discover the artists thoughts, process, and use of materials behind their exhibitions.

Painter and 2025 Neddy Award Finalist, Lauren Boilini’s exhibition, The Good Death, analyzes how violence in the animal kingdom mirrors our own, and particularly where it overlaps with human behavior.

Eva Funderburgh’s exhibition, Herd, examines strength through numbers. An individual alone may be vulnerable; in a group, fragility transforms into strength. The same alchemy turns heavy clay to delicate creatures, wood ash into drips of glass.

Let us know if you’re attending! Link in bio for more information.

2025 was the first full year I spent making video production my full-time job. Thank you to everyone who hired me, collaborated with me, or otherwise trusted me to tell your story. It was a rollercoaster of a year and I'm excited to see what's next. It also wouldn't have been possible without my amazing wife @morganlee_anne and her belief in what I'm doing.

These are snippets from a few of my productions this year.
