We’re excited to welcome Andi Kovel to Centro Quagliata.

An artist, designer, and creative director known for pushing the boundaries of glass, Andi was named to TIME Magazine’s “Design 100” and was recently featured on Netflix’s Blown Away.

Through her work with Esque Studio, she has developed a distinctive language of form, color, and experimentation, while creating work and collaborations for brands including Ralph Lauren, Anthropologie, Nike, Sephora, and Donna Karan.

So excited to share that our Eclipse Lamp has been named 2026 NYCXDesign award finalist! Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in NYC May 18th. Please join us at Lavan midtown, along with fabulous editor-in-chief of Interior Design Magazine, Cindy Allen! Andi will be there in person to celebrate and raise a glass. ⚡️

Cluster lamps: exploring the balance between weight and lightness. A solid block of timber is cut on the bias then divided into 4. Each section becomes an individual lamp and when placed together its angled geometry reveals the raw structure of the original block.

The design draws from Brutalist principles-honest material, visible structure, and bold geometry. Unexpected colored globes embody the Esque aesthetic of joy in design.

Come join us this evening at Design Within Reach in PDX. 5-8 for Block Party. Presented by @madepdx and @designwithinreach local design professionals are invited to transform simple wooden blocks into unique woks of art. These are display at DWR for a public silent auction even. All proceeds will benefit Children’s Healing Art Project. New release!

Eclipse Portable Lamps in small milk + indigo and large milk + bronze.. rejecting the idea that everything must be perfectly symmetrical to be beautiful. During the making process, the glass is nudged off center then allowed to respond to gravity, breath, and heat.

Accent color is drawn from the lip of the vessel and travels organically through the form, creating variations in density and depth that cannot be replicated exactly. These asymmetries and shifts are preserved as evidence of the human hand and the moment of making.

The result is a hand-blown glass lamp with sculptural tension and quiet movement. No two Eclipse lamps are identical, but each adheres to a shared language of scale, outline, and proportion.

For design-forward collectors and lovers of studio-made objects, Eclipse embodies Esque Studio’s philosophy of glass and light… quiet enchanting transformation of space. It suggests that lighting can be contemplative, tactile, and deeply personal.
