This past week I had the opportunity to tune in virtually to Fidelity FOCUS in Nashville 💻⭐️

As a financial advisor, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn from industry leaders and bring new perspectives back to my practice. While I couldn’t be in Nashville in person, I was able to follow along virtually and take plenty of notes along the way.

A few of the topics that stood out to me were the evolving role of Al in financial advice, changing investor expectations, market perspectives, and the importance of continuing to adapt as an advisor. There were lots of valuable insights and reminders about keeping the client experience at the centre of everything we do.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, reflect, and bring these ideas back to my work at Essential Wealth Group.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Rachel Martin, Head of Practice Management at Mackenzie Investments, and Brandon Booth, Experienced Sales & Business Development Professional, for an insightful conversation about Al and how we can use it to work smarter and more efficiently.

One of our key takeaways was the Role → Task → Format framework, which is a simple way to give Al better direction and get more effective results.

It was also a great learning opportunity for our interns, giving them firsthand insight into how Al is being used in the financial industry and how they can incorporate it into their own work.

A fantastic few days in Calgary at the Fueling Growth Summit! 🧲

From conversations around cybersecurity, insurance and estate planning, investments, and the future of AI for advisors, there was so much to learn and take away from the experience.

I was also grateful for the opportunity to speak at the main stage of the Advisor Panel about the value of hiring interns and the impact these opportunities can have for both students and firms.

Overall, it was a fantastic few days in Calgary, filled with valuable conversations, new perspectives, and plenty of ideas to bring back with me. A sincere thank you to Adam Elliot for the opportunity to attend and for making the experience so valuable.
