"I'm like a human printer." Esteban Peña, artist.

“Using the same four colours as an inkjet printer (cyan, magenta, yellow, black), I build up to 50 layers of paint on the paper to create realistic paintings.

This protracted technique acts as a metaphor for slowing down, inviting myself and the spectator to look more closely at our surroundings and find beauty in the everyday.”

Muy contento de tener una pintura del@proyecto AGUADAS en 𝘔𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘴: 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨í𝘢𝘴 𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘴 reabre la sala de exposiciones de Salitre reuniendo obras de 15 artistas y colectivos colombianos que exploran las transformaciones de los ecosistemas, las memorias territoriales y las formas de cuidado y resistencia frente a la crisis climática. Bajo la curaduría de @laurazartag con museografía de dianalure.

Te esperamos en la inauguración el próximo jueves 28 de mayo, de 5:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. en la Sala de exposiciones de la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá (@camaracomerbog), sede Salitre (Av. El Dorado # 68D – 35, piso 2). Entrada sin costo y abierta al público.

La exposición estará abierta hasta el 6 de agosto, de lunes a viernes de 9:00 a. m. a 12:00 m. y de 1:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m.

The video “1994, Own Goal, Andres Escobar” (eraser) has been shortlisted for the Football Art Prize 2026 @sheffmuseums .

From the series ‘images that blur with time’:
Recreating the archival photograph of Colombian player Andres Escobar moments before an own goal in the 94 World Cup against host USA. Through a process of material translation opens a space to question the connotation of the image itself, of what it represents. The eraser speaks of destruction, of violence: images that deserve to be forgotten. A kind of un-drawing. taken in The Millennium Gallery by @estebanpenaart

Very excited to share that the video ‘1994, On Goal, Andres Escobar’ from Images that blur with time (2019) has been shortlisted for the Football Art Prize 2026.

Selected from around 900 entries from across the world, over 75 works have been shortlisted for this year’s exhibition, which showcases a wide range of media including painting, photography, printmaking, film, digital art, collage and textile.

The exhibition opens at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield from 11 June 2026 before travelling to the National Football Museum, Manchester later this year.

The shortlist was selected by a panel including Tim Marlow OBE, Harland Miller and Jessica Naz.
