WHAT A WEEKEND 🥳

Seeing the vision come to life and everyone experience our race was just wild 🤯

An incredible weekend from watching our little guys & all the tamariki race on Saturday, to our big dog mates race in the elite heats, to all our members & hybrid friends racing and loads of athletes popping their hybrid racing 🍒

Huge huge thank you to the team of helpers we had, it took an army of legends to pull this off:

⚡️The help before from my girls with the merch + packing the athlete boxes
⚡️ The crew who smashed out a huge day of setting up
⚡️ The worlds most vibey judges who held the standards for us all day
⚡️ The athletes who signed up to this event not knowing what to expect & trusting us to put on a good day!
⚡️ Our mums for feeding all our crew + working all day
⚡️ Our members & friends for pitching in all day where we needed them
⚡️ And everyone else who pitched in to make this such a success

I think an event organiser hang over is worse than an athlete hangover to be fair 😵‍💫

This is just the beginning, SURGE 2027 bring it on👏🏻

8th APAC Elite 15 and a new PB 🖤🤍

Full race recap coming later - but that was one of the coolest experiences of my life and I cannot wait to see what’s possible now that we know we belong up there with the best.

Binny - I am so beyond proud of you. You are one of the fittest, strongest and kindest humans I know and you push me to be better every single day. So grateful to have you beside me everyday in the gym and out there last night. 🤍

And to our whānau, friends, and Bout members, your support means everything. You are genuinely the best hype crew a girl could ask for.

To the teams that helped us get here 🙏

The kind of people I surround myself with 😍

It’s not about who is the strongest, fittest or fastest, it’s about showing up and encouraging each other to give your 100% not someone else’s 💪🏻

NZ didn’t have the races we wanted, so we built one 🏁

We’re Estelle, Kane and Belinda, three Elite 15 athletes who’ve spent years training, competing and flying offshore to find the races we love. We kept saying we need more races at home, so here we are!

Some of you have raced at our event before which we’ve now stepped away from to build something of our own, and we’re grateful for everything it taught us.

Thank you to everyone who’s been on that journey with us. We can’t wait to see you on our new start line 🏃🏽‍♀️

Hex is for everyone. Whether you’re chasing a podium or racing for the very first time, we want you to feel that rush we feel when we cross that finish line.

And for our next gen: our kids have cheered us over every finish line, and now they want a go. So we’ve built a race just for them too 🤗

We are so excited for this race, we cannot wait to share more and bring you on the journey with us 🚀🌙

I wouldn’t put myself among the most naturally talented in the room but I’ll back myself to be one of the hardest working.

My fav @gogood high protein recipes!

Recipes with a long list of ingredients ain’t for me 🫣 These are high in protein, super quick to make & taste so good 🤤

Shout out to @jen_collinz for the banana bread recipe that our whole whānau has been smashing for the last few years!!

All made with @gogood protein 💪🏻⚡️ by @estelle_baigent

When a session feels hard, it’s easy to forget that I chose to be there. I chose the goal, and I chose to put the work in for it.

I’m allowed to find it tough and still be grateful I get to do it, that’s my favourite part of the process 💛

What a privilege it is! by @estelle_baigent
