One thing I hate is a dirty place, especially a dirty public place 😭😂 And Nur is definitely NOT that! Every time I’ve been, I’ve had a good experience. The space is clean, the aesthetic is cute, and it’s comfortable enough to get some work done or have a meeting without it being too quiet. As a business owner, I also wanted to use the space to get some product content, so you’ll see a few sample photos and videos of Hibiscus on Elm @hibiscusonelm sprinkled throughout this vlog. 🌺 And can we talk about the customer service? The management team is doing a good job making sure people feel welcomed and taken care of, and I really appreciate that! Comparison is a thief of joy. 🧡 It’s so easy to look at someone who’s doing the same thing as you and start wondering if you’re behind, if you’re doing enough, or if you should be further along by now. But friend, you cannot measure your life by someone else’s highlight reel. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Sometimes, the very thing you’re comparing yourself to is something you wouldn’t even want if you knew the full story. We see the pictures, the accomplishments, the relationships, the businesses, and the beautiful moments, but we don’t always see what’s happening behind closed doors. And social media? It only shows us a fraction of the story. Some of the things people are navigating privately would have you saying, “Lord, I’m good right where I am!” 😭😂 So, even when someone is doing exactly what you’re doing, resist the urge to compare your journey to theirs. Your timeline is your timeline. Your assignment is your assignment. And someone else’s progress does not diminish what God is doing in your life. A little reminder on today: Stay in your lane, celebrate others genuinely, and give yourself permission to enjoy the life you’re building. Happy Birthday, Sopha!🧡🥹 I couldn’t let time pass without celebrating you! 🥹❤️ And after the response we got from our last video about godly friendships, I felt like this was the perfect follow-up. One thing I’ve been thinking about is that sometimes, we spend so much time praying for godly friends that we forget to ask God to make US godly friends, too. 🥹 Be the friend you’re praying for. Be the friend who covers others in prayer, celebrates them without jealousy, speaks life when they’re struggling, tells the truth in love, and shows up even when it’s inconvenient. Be the light you desire to see in others, and do it with your FULL CHEST! 🗣️✨ Because godly friendship isn’t just about finding someone who reflects Christ to you; it’s also about allowing Christ to be reflected through YOU. And listen, I know friendships aren’t always easy. Sometimes people disappoint us. Sometimes seasons change. Sometimes friendships end, and we’re left trying to understand what happened. But I believe there’s so much we can learn about ourselves, our expectations, our healing, and the way we love others through those experiences. So I’m genuinely curious, and I want us to have an honest conversation. 🧡 What has your experience with godly friendships been like?
