Here’s to the estheticians who continue to show up, pour their hearts into their work, invest in their education, and genuinely care for the people who trust them with their skin.

Our industry may be rooted in beauty, but there’s so much more beneath the surface. The science, the responsibility, the relationships, the constant learning and evolving. And for those of us building businesses of our own, there’s an entirely different level of growth that comes with it.

Some days are incredibly rewarding. Others will stretch you in ways you never imagined. But through it all, may we never lose our heart for serving others, our willingness to keep learning, or our gratitude for the opportunity to do this work.

Houston may or may not be ready to commit to fall yet. 🍂 But this transitional time is a great opportunity to start preparing your skin for the season ahead.

A few things I’m focusing on right now:

✨ Hydration — replenishing moisture after months of heat and sun exposure.
✨ Barrier support — making sure my skin is strong and supported before becoming more corrective.
✨ Slowly reintroducing actives that I may have used less frequently during the summer.
✨ Regeneration + recovery — supporting overall skin function and quality before putting the skin under stress

Peel season doesn’t necessarily mean go straight for the peel. Sometimes the best thing you can do first is make sure your skin is prepared for it.

Preparation is part of the treatment too.

I think human touch may one day become a rare commodity.

We spend so much of our lives looking at screens, connected to technology, moving from one thing to the next. Sometimes we need to step away from all of it and tend to something much more basic—the need for human touch, stillness, and the opportunity to reconnect with ourselves.

Beautiful skin is part of the experience. ✨ But sometimes the realignment that happens when you finally slow down, release some tension, and simply receive can stay with you much longer. by @esthetictherapy
