Ever wondered what a real time attack car feels like? You’ve seen onboard from cameras mounted to roll cages, but they don’t really show the full story. Often they have in-built stabilisation so it looks much smoother (and easier) then it really is. Well, here is the REAL time attack experience. A POV of all the sounds, bumps (and laughs) you can have out there.A massive shout out to @massimocee for taking the wheel and @t_motor_sports for handing over the keys. You hear so much about what Hyundai and the N division are doing, but to experience how good they are in person, was an absolute treat. The event that @hyundai_n.au and @trackschool put on is simply amazing, and it’s maybe the best showing of community I’ve ever seen at a casual trackday. I was a die hard believer in the brand well before N division, so it’s pretty amazing to see how far it’s come.As fun as ranging Hyundai’s around is, it’s even more exciting to see what the @roman.motorsport BRZ can do, this September at World Time Attack 2026!!! by @ethan.giles__

Round 5 and the final round of @nsscc_au and @prospeedracing Tarmac Rally.A mixed bag of emotions to finish the season. We still managed top 3 in class and top 10 overall, and for most of the night the car was hovering around the top 5 overall. For a street driven car, it held its own against some very serious machinery and experienced drivers, which I’m pretty proud of.Looking back over the rounds, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. Last month in Round 4 we had an axle snap in half, which pretty much killed any chance of a stronger class result.Round 5 started well and the pace was there… until things started going downhill. On Run 2 we smacked a kangaroo, which ruined that run. We were lucky to get another shot and managed a 2:59, the fastest of our runs on the night. Then came the bigger disappointment. On Run 4 we were absolutely on it for a PB, and I suspect the clutch overheated and the car basically coasted down the main straight. We still crossed the line with a 3-minute lap despite having no power on the straight, so who knows what time was actually in it.To top it off, the fuel system let go on the drive home and the car had to be towed back. That’s motorsport. But I think both the car and I need a bit of a reset. I’m competitive and I love racing, but right now this isn’t the best package I can present. Especially with my son’s name on the side of the car, it deserves better. So we’ll be resting the BRZ for a little while, going over it with a fine tooth comb and coming back stronger. There are also some exciting projects in the works so stay tuned for that. And as always, @ethan.giles__ has been the most reliable part of all this šŸ˜‚ Couldn’t have done it without his co-driver skills. As always thanks to my supporters @livia.cassoni @pvs_tuning @t_motor_sports @flatshifting by @ethan.giles__

Jump on board for our last lap of the year.A 2:58 was our best run of the night. The track felt a bit tighter than usual. It seems to change slightly week to week, and with the constant drizzle throughout the night it definitely kept things interesting. We finished 3rd in our class and inside the top ten overall, so a solid way to close out the year.Huge thanks to my co-driver Ethan for jumping in and sticking it out. And sorry for ending his night with his head over the toilet bowl… not exactly the podium celebration we planned.Looks like we’ll both be working on our diets over the holidays to find that extra edge next year.#romanmotorsport #turbobrz #trackcar #sydneymotorsportpark #brz #gr86 by @ethan.giles__

Round 2 of @nsscc_au @prospeedracing Tarmac Rally SprintsAfter the fun of round one, we came into this one excited to test the new upgrades. It didn’t take long to realise the rear was super snappy and the brakes felt completely different. I’d only just finished installing the parts the Monday before, with zero road testing until the morning of the event. We had to think fast between sessions to get the setup right. Thankfully we’ve got some great minds behind us, and we managed to dial the car in before the championship rounds. With three rounds left and only the best three counting towards points, there was work to do.Once we got a quick alignment in, the new @shockworks_suspension setup came alive. The car felt sharp and responsive. The @intimabrakes SR pads needed a slight driving adjustment, but I was really impressed by their consistency for a budget pad. My suspicion about the previous oil was also confirmed @motulaustralia 300V held strong all day, keeping oil pressure stable even in the heat. All the effort over the last month paid off as we finished two of our last three runs under the three minute mark, with a best of 2:57.0, placing 2nd in class, 6th overall, and 3rd fastest RWD on the day.The sun even shone brighter as we stepped out from under @prospeedracing shadow, taking bragging rights as the quickest BRZ/86 of the night. Credit where it’s due though they absolutely sent it in their NA car. We’ll be doing our best to keep up with @shaun19811717 and his Prosteed once it’s back on track. Again @ethan.giles__ smashed it in the co driver role super appreciate to his commitment to come help out with the long ass commute 🤣@motul.dcoceanic @exedy_aus @sydneymotorsportengineering @alekhoskins98 @t_motor_sports by @ethan.giles__

Missing TF out of this…Some pretty big and exciting things happening this week which have sent me down memory lane a bit. About 1.5 years ago things got thrown upside down pretty quickly and so, some things took a back seat. Surrounded myself with some of the best people I’ve ever met, made promises to others it was temporary and worked my nuts off to make sure I held that promise. This week is the first week I feel like I might be close to making good on those promises, and getting back towards enjoying a passion soon. Need to remind some people I’m not just the best co-driver 🫣 by @ethan.giles__

Our first crack at tarmac rally was a success! Thank your for @prospeedracing and @nsscc_au for the amazing and well run event.Didn’t expect much but to just have some fun. We went in blind with a car mostly set up for circuit and Sydney Motorsport park. I have to say this was the most fun I’ve had this year in the car. It was absolutely spot on did not miss a beat and was super consistent through out the night. We started off with a 3.19 and worked our way to a 3.01.5. That was good enough for a top 20 finish. We placed 16th out of 57 cars. And we missed out on a class podium by 5 tenths coming in at 5th in our class. We got piped by 4 tenths by the prospeed team to being the quickest 86/brz on the night. Credit to them they have a NA monster and a good steerer. Special thanks @ethan.giles__ who was our co driver. His attention to detail was the difference. I meant it when I say you can’t see shit at night and his strong commands helped me all night and really owe the lap to him and his dedication to spending hours working out the layout before the event. Again couldn’t have done this without the help of @pvs_tuning and there dedication on making the car do what I want it to do. Last night was the best the car felt and a huge confidence boost. And special not for @alekhoskins98 for the last minute pep talk and the dangers of the hard to see barriers šŸ˜…. This was a blast and I cannot wait to get back. We are only going to go quicker watch this space. @t_motor_sports @flatshifting @sydneymotorsportengineering by @ethan.giles__
