Part of an original I’ve been writing…

Verse 1
Hail the Lord of all creation
By whose Word the earth was formed and filled
See the Lord of incarnation
By whose Word the raging storm was stilled

Hear his voice dispel the darkness
Hear him tell the dead to live
So what danger could befall us?
When our lives belong to him?

(We rest upon)

Chorus 1
All power, all authority
Our great security
is Jesus the Good King

This is why we plant churches! As Ethan Ezikian of Union Church shares, our mission is ultimately about God's glory. We long to see more healthy churches planted around the world so that the gospel is proclaimed and disciples are made.

Fifteen years married today.

If someone told the younger me that I would be even more in love with Dana fifteen years later, I would have foolishly thought they meant even more romance, even more gooey affection. Younger Ethan wouldn’t have understood the deeper love that comes when you grow with a person. I’ve watched Dana become an outstanding mother, a hard-working manager of our home, a capable business owner, a skillful teacher, an admirable leader, a prayerful disciple-maker, a wise counselor, and more. The map of territory that is ‘Dana’ has expanded into new ranges and I’m so honored and thankful that I’ve gotten to explore and learn the new hills and valleys.

What a woman! What a gift from God. by @ethanezikian

Let me know what you think! I wrote a chorus to a beloved hymn and I’m not sure how I feel about it….

Wrote this one after reading this from John Piper — “…the Bible has not been for me like a masterpiece hanging on the wall of an Alpine chalet but rather like a window in the wall of the chalet, with the Alps on the other side… I have been held happily captive by the beauty of God and his ways that I see through the Scriptures.”

The word is a window. We love the Lord, so we love his word.
