The ARTS Awards are the Oscars of the home furnishings world, and celebrating the Interior Designers, Product Designers, Design Studios, brands, finalists, and winners who continue to raise the bar was nothing short of inspiring. My heart, THRILLED for each and everyone!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Congratulations to the @dallasmarketdesign @dallasmarket team for producing this exceptional event and @carsonkressley @thomfilicia as Hosts Extraordinaire! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥂🍾

From design leadership and new chapters (yes, showing up matters) to a dress with… a story for another day 😉 Celebrating excellence and the people behind it is everything 🖤

Here’s to the tastemakers and style setters, the visionaries behind the scenes, and the collective applause for excellence well done. Design looks even better when we celebrate it together. 🖤🥂 taken in Dallas, Texas by @eurdesign_studio

Nice to meet you! It’s been a bit so let me reintroduce myself. If you’re following along (thank you kindly!), you know I love to highlight my journey around the world of art, design, and travel. Some fun facts about me:

*I'm Southern at Heart, European by Soul, and somehow, now Texan ; ) aka a Dallas Designer.

* I love to collect paintings from famed antique markets all across the world including Brussels, Paris, Budapest, Rome, London, Boston, and the French Riviera.

* I have mad wanderlust, love to travel internationally, especially Europe solo, and come back with stories that can start with..."What do a Russian Photographer, an Italian Painter, a French riverboat Captain, Armenian Lovebirds, and French Antique Dealers all have in common...?" Adventures from my Paris solo trip!

*I'm a career veteran working in the Business of Design across Art & Design industries having partnered or consulted with the best brands, Designers, and thousands of entrepreneurs across Home Furnishings, Design Trade, Mass Merchants, Hospitality channels, and the Arts.

* I earned a USPTO patent for developing Design Visualization Software and Color Detect technology for Galleries and Design Firms. Later I worked for the top Dubai Design Agency with an amazing talent network.

*I can find a little "Paris" anywhere.

* I'm part of the MOB. The other one. Not the Mother of Dragons but Mother of Boys! Close, right?!

Otherwise, I live life with an eye on Design, music on my mind, and always on the lookout for beautiful adventures.

Martha Approved - A VERY GOOD THING, INDEED! 🏆✨

Thrilled to celebrate Art Brand Studios, a recognized Top 100 Global Licensor, being named Design Standout of the Year at the Martha Stewart Good Things Awards during the Martha Stewart Brand Summit with Marquee Brands in NYC!

What an extraordinary honor!

From creative vision and fine art curation to elevating product development and editorial storytelling, I had the pleasure of leading an artful design journey inspired by Martha Stewart’s iconic world of living beautifully.

Four distinctive lifestyle narratives. An uncompromising eye for design. And a shared ambition to create something truly worthy of Martha Stewart and her extraordinary brand at every touch point.

Presenting our vision to Kevin Sharkey and the Martha Stewart team was an absolute pleasure. To see that creative commitment recognized? Well, that’s a very good thing! ✨

So proud of our talented Art Brand Studios team and this exceptional collaboration as official licensing partner! Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻🍾🥂

Exceptional by design. Extraordinary by intention.

Walk like you own it 🐾😉 LAURÉNNE DOES BIRMINGHAM / A Jr. Creative Director’s Guide to Being Overbooked & Adored.

Another flight. Another city. Another exhausting week in our era of excellence 🐾 Southern Touchdown in Birmingham, where Mama informed me we had a very important design itinerary.

Antiques & Gardens were inspected.
Showrooms were thoroughly vetted.
Schumacher was studied.
Odette Gallery was admired.
Adored Texan Artist Mackenzie Dove’s art collective.
And the divine ladies and talents of English Village Lane? Consider them officially Jr. Creative Director approved. 🤍 @englishvillagelane 😘

Then there was Antiques at the Gardens - the Gala, the gardens, the antiques, the people, the parties… alas Pups not on the guest list!?

Frankly, I gave Birmingham everything I had.

Today, I’m not entirely sure I can be amazing again.

I’m very tired from being amazing in town. 🐾

There are design visits… and then there are the ones that remind you why you fell in love with this industry in the first place.

Deep inside South Carolina, I had the extraordinary opportunity to spend time with the teams at Baxter Mill Archives and Springs Creative - and go behind the scenes of a collection of more than one million artifacts devoted to pattern, print, textile, art and cultural history.

For someone who spends much of her life looking forward - studying where art, design, licensing and lifestyle are going - there was something rather magical about going backward to understand where so much of it began.

Handcrafted books filled with extraordinary patterns and prints. Historic textiles. Vintage fashion. Original artwork. Florals, geometrics, novelties and cultural ephemera collected and preserved by people who quite clearly love the art of making.

And the stories. ✨

Hearing about Ralph Lauren’s interest in particular textile collections. Seeing vintage clothing and archival references selected for Nick Mele’s contemporary fashion imagery. Discovering Princess Grace of Monaco’s pressed-flower artistry translated into 1960s pattern and textile design.

Then turning another corner to see familiar cultural icons - from Disney and Bambi to Star Wars - reimagined through sophisticated pattern and fabric.

It was a beautiful reminder that provenance is not about looking backward. It gives us richer material with which to move forward.

I’ve been speaking across the industry about the convergence I see happening between fine art, pattern, print, textiles, wallcoverings, fashion, licensing and brand—from Paris to High Point and well beyond.

Here, you could quite literally see those connections living together on the shelves.

And perhaps most excitingly, we’re beginning conversations around what might come next -exploring opportunities across EurDesign Studio, Art Brand Studios and Wild Wings to bring remarkable stories and archives forward into new lifestyle expressions.

For me, that is the thrill.

Not simply asking, “What’s trending?”

But asking:

Where did it come from?
Why did it matter?
And what can it become next? by @eurdesign_studio

POV: Your Design Assistant takes another flight… and returns with a promotion. ✈️🐾

Tiny traveler. Very important itinerary. Absolutely no interest in flying under the radar.

First stop: Rock Hill, South Carolina, for an astonishing peek inside the Baxter Mill Archives with Art Brand Studios —layers upon layers of pattern, color, craftsmanship and textile history.

The kind of place that reminds us great design rarely begins with what’s new. It begins with knowing what came before - and having the eye to see it differently. Some VERY exciting design and licensing developments ahead!

Laurénne inspected accordingly.

Tiny paws. Major opinions.
And somewhere among those extraordinary archives, Assistant to the Creative Director became Jr. Creative Director.

Frankly, she’s earned it.

Then, from Rock Hill to Greenville - and a different sort of archive: Mama’s own.

Off we went tracing family roots through Greenville while discovering downtown through its architecture, charming streets, beautiful details and, naturally, a few strategically selected places for our newly promoted executive to see and be seen.

For a little pup named with a wink of Ralph Lauren timelessness and Sophia Loren glamour, she seems to understand the assignment rather well:

Study the classics.
Know your provenance.
Develop your point of view.
Travel beautifully.
And never underestimate the importance of a good entrance- or snoozing at the conference table!

From design heritage to family heritage, South Carolina gave us quite a story.

Jr. Creative Director, EurDesign Studio.
Promotion secured. Compensation negotiations reportedly include room service and better treats. 🤎🐾

Everyone understood the assignment. ✨🖤🤠

After a remarkable week of ASID Gather Catalyst, the American Society of Interior Designers closed out our time together with a celebration - and let’s just say, Texas didn’t merely extend a warm welcome. We danced it out.

There may have been a certain someone shimmying in silver fringe and a black hat… and perhaps leading a few people onto the dance floor. 😉

But standing there, watching so many friends and colleagues laughing, dancing and simply delighting in one another, I found myself thinking about something bigger:

The best relationships are built.

Through time. Shared experiences. Common interests. Purpose. Showing up again and again.

And that isn’t exclusive to our professional communities - it’s true of friendship and love, too.

I saw it on the dance floor in the tight hugs, enormous smiles and completely uninhibited dancing. And I noticed it again over the weekend watching old friends gather around football and pizza—mighty fine smoked brisket pizza, I might add. 🤌🏻

The longer people had known one another, the tighter the hugs.
The bigger the smiles.
The louder the laughter.
The better the stories.

There is something profoundly beautiful about people who have accumulated life together.

Community matters. Friendship matters. Love matters. And the very best of all three rarely happens instantly. It grows through the ordinary and extraordinary moments we choose to share.

So find your people.

Show up. Stay awhile.
Make memories. Hug tighter. Laugh louder.
And when the music starts… for heaven’s sake, dance. 💃🏻✨

That’s a good life indeed.

A year ago we asked a rather audacious little question:

Why not Dallas? 🤠✨

Why not bring ASID Gather to Dallas alongside Dallas Design Week? Why not invite the national interior design community into Dallas Market Center - to experience a marketplace, resource and design community unlike anywhere else?

It hadn’t been done before. Which, naturally, made me want to raise my hand even higher. 😉

And now…here we are.

ASID Gather has officially arrived in Dallas, y’all. And seeing it come to life is genuinely warming my heart.

Over the past few days, so many ASID board members, organizers, designers and industry friends have stopped me to remember that early conversation - and the simple willingness to champion Dallas and say, come see what we have here.

But ideas only become something when people come together to make them happen.

The teams at ASID HQ, ASID Texas and Dallas Market Center have worked tremendously hard to create this moment, alongside the brands, showrooms, designers, ambassadors and volunteers who make this community extraordinary. Thankful!!

And this was only Day One.

Dallas Design Week began in fabulous fashion with Dine + Design and a color + trend forecast from Sherwin-Williams, followed by conversations and insider insights with an extraordinary mix of design talent - including Charlotte Moss, Ginger Curtis, Ashley Hughes, Donna Moss and more plus a Design Ambassadors preview party celebrating dear friends and Dallas top Designers Javier Burkle and Yates Desygn.

The talent? Exceptional.
The showrooms? Showing off.
The Texas welcome? Warm.
The love, laughter and joy? Completely off the charts. 🥂

People sometimes ask me, “What exactly do you do?”

Perhaps this is *part of the answer.

I champion people. I connect dots. I raise my hand. I shine a light on extraordinary talent, places, brands and ideas - and every now and then, I ask “why not?” when something hasn’t been done before.

Seeing an entire community answer that question together?

Well, that might just be my favorite kind of design. 🤍

Welcome to Dallas, ASID Gather. We are so very glad you’re here.
