Everyone understood the assignment. ✨🖤🤠

After a remarkable week of ASID Gather Catalyst, the American Society of Interior Designers closed out our time together with a celebration - and let’s just say, Texas didn’t merely extend a warm welcome. We danced it out.

There may have been a certain someone shimmying in silver fringe and a black hat… and perhaps leading a few people onto the dance floor. 😉

But standing there, watching so many friends and colleagues laughing, dancing and simply delighting in one another, I found myself thinking about something bigger:

The best relationships are built.

Through time. Shared experiences. Common interests. Purpose. Showing up again and again.

And that isn’t exclusive to our professional communities - it’s true of friendship and love, too.

I saw it on the dance floor in the tight hugs, enormous smiles and completely uninhibited dancing. And I noticed it again over the weekend watching old friends gather around football and pizza—mighty fine smoked brisket pizza, I might add. 🤌🏻

The longer people had known one another, the tighter the hugs.
The bigger the smiles.
The louder the laughter.
The better the stories.

There is something profoundly beautiful about people who have accumulated life together.

Community matters. Friendship matters. Love matters. And the very best of all three rarely happens instantly. It grows through the ordinary and extraordinary moments we choose to share.

So find your people.

Show up. Stay awhile.
Make memories. Hug tighter. Laugh louder.
And when the music starts… for heaven’s sake, dance. 💃🏻✨

That’s a good life indeed.

A year ago we asked a rather audacious little question:

Why not Dallas? 🤠✨

Why not bring ASID Gather to Dallas alongside Dallas Design Week? Why not invite the national interior design community into Dallas Market Center - to experience a marketplace, resource and design community unlike anywhere else?

It hadn’t been done before. Which, naturally, made me want to raise my hand even higher. 😉

And now…here we are.

ASID Gather has officially arrived in Dallas, y’all. And seeing it come to life is genuinely warming my heart.

Over the past few days, so many ASID board members, organizers, designers and industry friends have stopped me to remember that early conversation - and the simple willingness to champion Dallas and say, come see what we have here.

But ideas only become something when people come together to make them happen.

The teams at ASID HQ, ASID Texas and Dallas Market Center have worked tremendously hard to create this moment, alongside the brands, showrooms, designers, ambassadors and volunteers who make this community extraordinary. Thankful!!

And this was only Day One.

Dallas Design Week began in fabulous fashion with Dine + Design and a color + trend forecast from Sherwin-Williams, followed by conversations and insider insights with an extraordinary mix of design talent - including Charlotte Moss, Ginger Curtis, Ashley Hughes, Donna Moss and more plus a Design Ambassadors preview party celebrating dear friends and Dallas top Designers Javier Burkle and Yates Desygn.

The talent? Exceptional.
The showrooms? Showing off.
The Texas welcome? Warm.
The love, laughter and joy? Completely off the charts. 🥂

People sometimes ask me, “What exactly do you do?”

Perhaps this is *part of the answer.

I champion people. I connect dots. I raise my hand. I shine a light on extraordinary talent, places, brands and ideas - and every now and then, I ask “why not?” when something hasn’t been done before.

Seeing an entire community answer that question together?

Well, that might just be my favorite kind of design. 🤍

Design Reimagined. 🍾🥂📖

Don’t rush the magic. It’s a mood, not a moment.

A wonderful afternoon celebrating my dear friend Corey Damen Jenkins and the launch of his new Eichholtz collection and second book, Design Reimagined. From Paris to High Point and across Texas, I’ve had the pleasure of watching Corey continue to elevate our industry with extraordinary talent, unmistakable style, and enough energy to light up every room he enters.

Yesterday’s DMC Design + Build Day was a masterclass in collaboration, featuring thoughtful conversation on the evolving relationship between designers and builders, moderated by the fabulous EIC Kaitlin Petersen of Business of Home. Insightful perspectives, honest dialogue, and a reminder that the best projects are built on strong partnerships and shared vision.

From industry conversations and book signings to a celebratory soirée and a first look at Corey’s beautiful new collection with Eichholtz, it was an afternoon filled with inspiration, friendship, and plenty of that signature Corey “alpha energy.”

Here’s to designing boldly, leading generously, and always making room for a little sparkle along the way. ✨

A showhouse is a little like reading someone’s diary. 😉

Every room reveals what they value.
What inspires them.
How they see the world.

At the Dallas RUE Showhouse, I found myself lingering over the details… the layers of pattern, texture, materials, and artistry that transformed each space into a point of view.

A guest of my super talented friends at Wall Snobs, it was especially fun to see how walls became more than walls. They became storytellers. Backdrops. Conversation starters. Personality on display.

The best interiors do that.

They tell you something about the people who create them before a single word is spoken.

A lovely evening celebrating beautiful ideas, talented friends, and a design community that never stops inspiring me.

Atlanta by Design, with a side of perspective. ✈️🐾

A quick trip to Atlanta for successful client meetings, market discoveries, and a little design trend research turned into something unexpectedly meaningful.

This time, I brought my favorite design assistant, Laurénne, along to see a bit more of my world. From charming clients to taking in the city from 30,000 feet, she handled her duties with remarkable professionalism (and only a modest demand for treats). 🐾

Between exploring the energy of Ponce City Market, wandering inspiring showrooms at ADAC, and soaking in the creative spirit that connects Paris, Dallas, and Atlanta through design, I found myself unexpectedly revisiting a piece of my own story.

At the historic Georgian Terrace Hotel, I realized I was standing on the very same terrace where I photographed the launch of my own EurDesign Studio nearly eight years ago.

Looking back at those images, I see a woman with quiet confidence, big dreams, and no way of knowing where the journey would lead. What I couldn’t see then were the miles traveled, the extraordinary people met, the stages, the partnerships, the lessons, the risks, and the chapters still waiting to be written.

That photoshoot marked the close of one season and the beginning of another. Standing there again, I felt immense gratitude for both.

For my hometown roots. For the roads that led far beyond them. For becoming more than I imagined while remaining deeply myself.

And perhaps most exciting of all… for the feeling that another beautiful chapter is just beginning.

Full circle moments have a way of reminding us how far we’ve come - and how much wonder still lies ahead. ✨

Sometimes the view isn’t out the window. It’s looking back and realizing how far you’ve flown.✨🩵 🛩️

🗺️ At times, the greatest luxury is simply making time for yourself. ✨

During my recent travels to Miami, I finally made a pilgrimage to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens.

For years, it sat quietly on my list. One of those places I had always wanted to experience, yet somehow never quite made it to. Work schedules, group itineraries, and the preferences of others always seemed to take priority.

This time was different > This time, I let curiosity lead.

I carved out the time. I invested in myself. I gave myself permission to wander through the gardens, linger over the architecture, admire the views, and simply enjoy the experience without rushing to the next thing. The waves, the breeze, the sun made me so Joyful!

The most meaningful journeys aren’t always the farthest ones. Sometimes they’re the places we’ve quietly promised ourselves we’ll visit someday.

I’ve always approached life with a sense of wonder for places, people, ideas, and beautiful moments gathered along the way. Success is wonderful. Accomplishments are meaningful. But curiosity? Curiosity is the real luxury.

Standing at Vizcaya on that gorgeous Miami afternoon, surrounded by beauty, history, and inspiration, I couldn’t help but smile.

Not because I was checking something off a list.

Because I finally listened to myself.🥂

A gentle reminder that making time for yourself is never selfish. It may just be one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

Here’s to following curiosity, honoring the things that inspire us, and making space for wonder whenever we can. ✨

A New Year deserves celebrating in May, too. ✨🥂

Apparently, one doesn’t need New Year’s Eve to celebrate a new year. A birthday seems as good a reason as any.

Somehow, between Dallas and Paris, market halls and museum corridors, keynote stages and quiet café mornings, another year has found its way into the story.

I’ve learned that birthdays aren’t really about counting years. They’re about collecting them. Collecting experiences, friendships, lessons, adventures, and beautiful moments that become part of who we are.

This year brought extraordinary opportunities, meaningful work, new perspectives, familiar places I love, and a few dreams that quietly became reality. From design markets and art studios to luxury hotels, charming cafés, and conversations with remarkable people, it was a year rich in inspiration and gratitude.

And perhaps my favorite realization of all: beautiful lives are designed, not discovered. Not in the grand milestones alone, but in the everyday moments that become memories before we realize they’re happening.

For all the miles traveled, the lessons learned, the people I’ve met, the friendships cherished, and the opportunities to create, contribute, and grow, I’m deeply grateful.

There were moments that felt like adventures, moments that felt like accomplishments, and a few rare moments when life quietly whispered, “There you are.”

So here’s to another trip around the sun.

More curiosity. More creativity. More beautiful destinations. More meaningful work. More long dinners, inspiring conversations, and reasons to gather around tables with people I love.

And yes, perhaps a few more passport stamps.

A year older. A year wiser.

Still packing heels in my carry-on.

Enchantée, new year. Let’s see where you take me. ✨

Mystique, indeed. ✨ Let’s go Behind the Curtain!

An extraordinary evening at the annual DIFFA Dallas gala themed Hotel Mystique ~ where fashion becomes theater, design becomes fantasy, and every detail feels lifted from the world’s most luxurious hotels and dream destinations.

This year’s production was absolutely spectacular. Oceans, weddings, spa escapes, soirées, fitness clubs, moonlit vacations… each runway vignette unfolded like a couture hospitality experience brought to life. The creativity was fearless, the fashion fierce, and respectfully… the Derby has nothing on a DIFFA headdress. 👏🏻👏🏻

What always moves me most about this evening is the intersection of communities I love deeply - art, fashion, design, philanthropy, and creative expression all coming together with purpose, beauty, and heart. From the incredible art auctions to the over-the-top runway moments, it was a reminder that creativity has the power to captivate and give back.

And the dress? A moment. A memory. A little mystique of its own? 🖤

Bravo to everyone who brought this unforgettable night to life. Dallas knows how to deliver glamour with intention. 🎬🥂
