unforgettable! my first workshop at an international festival – barefoot, dancing and jumping and singing under a willow tree with a big group of wonderful people. we faced our fears – of being seen as we are, of expressing our emotions – to find more authenticity in our dancing 🌀 and somewhere along the way, fear made space for a hell lot of fun!! I thank you all deeply for your trust and your energy, my heart is full 🤍 so grateful for the invitation, @sensationdays.albena ✨ and a massive thank you to @pia.flowstate for this mesmerising recap that really captures the vibe – and for your support, always 💛 #bachata #dance #bachatadancing #somaticexperiencing embodimentpractice by @eva.bachata
𝔹𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕥𝕒 𝕀𝕟𝕤𝕚𝕕𝕖 𝕆𝕦𝕥 – A workshop series where we focus on how it 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 rather than how it 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴, to dance with more presence, joy, authenticity – and freedom! I couldn‘t have wished for a lovelier group for the first workshop 🤍 thank you all for your time, trust and curiosity! Can’t wait for the next ones – more dates coming soon 💌 thank you for the beautiful recap @maria.s.miles ♥️ by @eva.bachata

🇪🇸🇩🇪 𝙴𝚅𝙰 & 𝚃𝙸𝙸𝙰 🇫🇮 A special moment after a very special workshop: our first time teaching together – and at the Festival of Nations, of all places! 🌍🇨🇭✨ It was a bit of a different workshop: 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚 🌀 and we couldn’t have wished for a better group. We didn’t teach choreos or combos, but instead explored how to express our emotions through movement – first without and then with a partner! Thank you so much to everyone who woke up for our 11am workshop – ready to play 🤸🏻 your energy was amazing! When we think of connection, we usually think of connecting to our partner. But we need to be connected to ourselves first: our body, our emotions. Which brings us back to the roots of bachata: dancing to express, not to impress. This was our main focus on our demo as well, and this video shows exactly how we felt: natural, easeful, excited. 💛💫 Thank you @bachatagenevafestival for giving us the space and for creating an unforgettable weekend ❤️ 👯🏻‍♀️ @eva.bachata & @tiia.huuhka 🎥 @ldr.prod thank you 🖤 by @eva.bachata
🫂 PARTNER DANCE CONNECTION IS A SKILL YOU CAN TRAIN. In Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, and other partner dances, we often confuse connection, chemistry, intimacy, and synchrony. They can coexist, but they are not the same: You can dance closely without communicating well. You can have chemistry and still miss information. You can move in time while anticipating instead of listening. Real connection means two bodies can perceive, communicate, respond, and adapt together. A key part of this is adaptive tone: Too little tone makes information unclear. Too much creates noise, gripping, and unnecessary tension. The goal is not one fixed level of tension, but the amount of tone required by the information, movement, and moment. That is why connection belongs inside the A.W.A.K.E Method: AWARENESS Feel your body and understand your impact. WEIGHT Manage your center, support, and intention. ADAPTATION Listen, respond, and adjust continuously. KNOWLEDGE Understand the movement and why it works. EXPRESSION Make technique personal, alive, and meaningful. Sensuality can also become sensory intelligence: Can you feel the floor, yourself, the music, and your partner’s changes—without gripping? The more information you perceive, the more choices you have. The more choices you have, the more adaptable your dancing becomes. STOP TRYING TO LOOK CONNECTED. TRAIN YOUR ABILITY TO CONNECT. Know a dancer who thinks connection only means dancing closer? Share this with them—and save it for your next practice. Then send this to your dance partner and ask: Which part of connection should we train together: Awareness, Weight, Adaptation, Knowledge, or Expression? #BrazilianZouk #Bachata #PartnerDance #DanceConnection #AWAKEMethod by @eva.bachata
𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚂𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝙱𝚎𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚗𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 📅 Sunday, 1 November, 16:00–18:00h In this 2h workshop, we explore how to build real connection in social dancing, step by step: to the self, to the floor, to the space, and finally to the partner. You’ll leave with a practical understanding of what connection means and the tools to create it: self-awareness, sensitivity and adaptability – so that you’re able to co-create with your dance partner instead of copying moves ✨ We can’t wait! Otra alma bonita 🫶🏻 🇬🇧 I’ve always wanted to learn how to lead, but honestly, I only feel comfortable practicing it in social dancing with people who make me feel safe and bring such good energy… and Eva is definitely one of those people. 🫶🏻 Eva is incredible, both as a person and as a dancer, and she always makes you feel like you’re the best dancer on the floor🥺 I never post dance reels, but after being caught on camera several times… I guess that’s a sign 😂 Thank you, Nico, for always being behind the camera and, above all, for always being there as a person. Another beautiful soul 🫶🏻 📍 @bachataparty.bcn 🎥 @nicosan_photo 💃 @eva.bachata #bachatabcn #rolerotation #salavivaldi by @eva.bachata
✨ 𝚃 𝙸 𝙸 𝙰 & 𝙴 𝚅 𝙰 ✨ Throwback to a dance that opened a portal to new heights… 🌅💫👇🏼 In the early morning, on my way to my second last @bachatasunrise before leaving Barcelona, I was thinking to myself that I don’t have a dance video with the queen @eva.bachata, but would love to have one. Later that morning in the social this song came up (one that always makes me cry), I was dancing with Eva, and without asking or saying a word about the video to anyone, @elgatodancer appears and starts filming us 🥲❤️‍🩹 I have no clue where we were or what happened, but during this song, it was just us. Nothing else existed. We entered into such a deep connection bubble, and I’ve rarely been able to experience that as a leader. As soon as the dance was over, I cried. 👉🏼 Later that same day, we were offered an opportunity to give a workshop together at @bachatagenevafestival about 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – without ever even having had talked about collaborating 🫠🫠🫠💛 Talk about magic??? ✨ —— I’m extremely grateful to be on this exciting journey together with one of my biggest inspiration and dear friend 🫶🏼 Love you Eva 🥹💛 by @eva.bachata
