📅 Sunday, 1 November, 16:00–18:00h

In this 2h workshop, we explore how to build real connection in social dancing, step by step: to the self, to the floor, to the space, and finally to the partner.

You’ll leave with a practical understanding of what connection means and the tools to create it: self-awareness, sensitivity and adaptability – so that you’re able to co-create with your dance partner instead of copying moves ✨

We can’t wait!

Love,
Arthur & Eva

unforgettable! my first workshop at an international festival – barefoot, dancing and jumping and singing under a willow tree with a big group of wonderful people.

we faced our fears – of being seen as we are, of expressing our emotions – to find more authenticity in our dancing 🌀 and somewhere along the way, fear made space for a hell lot of fun!!

I thank you all deeply for your trust and your energy, my heart is full 🤍 so grateful for the invitation, @sensationdays.albena ✨

and a massive thank you to @pia.flowstate for this mesmerising recap that really captures the vibe – and for your support, always 💛

is it a match? 💌

then please make the first step and text me – so we can get to know each other, find out what you want and design a practice that works for YOU!

because growth doesn’t happen inside of the classroom (sorryyy) – it happens inside of yourself 🌀(which makes it much easier, actually!)

I can’t wait to start practicing together 💙

After 24 years of chasing perfection in ballet, one night at a tiny social in England changed everything. What if the secret to dancing (and living) better was learning to let go completely?

In this deeply moving conversation, former ballerina turned bachata dancer, @eva.bachata shares how 24 years of ballet trained her into perfectionism, conformity, and chronic self-judgment, and how discovering bachata rewired her relationship with her body, her art, and her life.

From the neuroscience of nervous system co-regulation to the spiritual experience of connection, Eva unpacks what it really means to dance (and live) from the inside out. We explore perfectionism, identity, creativity, the power of self-talk, and her beautiful new community projects like Inside Out and Bachata Sunrise in Barcelona.

Whether you’re a dancer who freezes when filmed or someone trapped in the pursuit of “good enough,” this episode is your permission slip to let go.

We’ll offer tools to help us connect with ourselves and our partner. This presence is the basis for 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 our own dance rather than copying combos. With exercises from different dance styles, we’ll then explore different forms of movement and how to integrate them into bachata – so that you’ll dance with more freedom, joy, and authenticity! 🌀🦋💙

After the workshop, Bilen will take us to the tardeo at Quechimba with the BachataVan 🚌 to put everything into practice!

When we dance, we often focus on steps, technique, and how it looks. In this workshop, we shifted the focus to how it 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴: to 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.

Sensuality is about being present in your body and experiencing movement through your senses ✨

Inspired by the four elements – earth, water, fire, and air – we explored different qualities of movement and reconnect with our bodies.

In the end, we brought these sensations into a short bachata choreo to see how we can maintain sensuality within the structure and technique of bachata.

The aim was to dance from the inside out: with more presence, joy, self-love – and sensuality! 🦋

Thank you all for coming and letting yourself be moved 🤍

This workshop was a collaboration with the amazing @womenofbachata.barcelona community – grateful for you 💜

dancing is my meditation (not a big fan of sitting)
and this – slightly tweaked – poem by Thích Nhất Hạnh
puts it so beautifully 👣
