Home and starting the rehab process ✨❤️‍🩹 CT scan showed a fracture in the radial head of my left elbow and also a fracture in my left second metacarpal (hand). Stitches in my right arm came out Monday and other wounds are healing well. I’m grateful it’s nothing worse and there’s still plenty I can do 🥰 Celebrated turning 28 on Saturday in a purple cast and with the best company. Honestly it’s been nice to slow right down and focus on the small things 🤍 Thank you all for the support as I head into the rebuild phase. As much as I would love to be lining up for World Champs this week in Spain, I wish all my competitors and NZ team the very best 🫶🏻 taken in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand by @eva_goodisson

Well not quite the ending I’d planned to my 4 month Euro campaign 🥲 Unfortunately on Sunday’s race in Karlovy Vary, a combination of wet, oily roads, fast descending, a concrete barrier and a motivated bike group didn’t end too well for me. After 5 weeks of some of my best preparation up in altitude, the heart break (as well as the elbow break) was extremely painful. However not all is lost! I’ve had some great miles banked with great people, more race experience and a fire to get healthy and get going again. I’m flying back to NZ to kick start rehab while there’s still a couple months left to the season. This sport can be brutal but also beautiful. A week on the road with the boys ✨ Barcelona 💃🏼 ➡️ Torla Ordesa 💆🏼‍♀️ ➡️ San Sebastián 🍷 ➡️ Hossegor 🌊 ➡️ Andorra ⛰️ Just what the doctor ordered for a mid season break after 4 World Series races, 4 countries 🇮🇹 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇬🇧 in 7 weeks. L O N D O N 🇬🇧 What an electric racing atmosphere and great excuse to catch up with old mates ✨ Every sign and cheer helped me push that little bit more and post race pub catch ups on this side of the world were unmatched. Busy being British the last few days here in Loughborough 🇬🇧 10 days with the squad here in between Hamburg and London World Series and there’s not a whole lot to see and do but the squad vibes and training are great, as are the pubs and rolling dales 😂 Hamburg was a decent result. 26th and left wanting more but pleased given the last month with sickness and cheered the team towards their 8th place MTR finish. I’m looking forward to racing next weekend in London before a month of thin air in the mountains with my main sidekick @brearoderick 🏔️ taken in Loughborough by @eva_goodisson

Merci Quiberon! 🇫🇷 P9 leading the NZ mixed team relay today following p27 individual performance yesterday. Strong swim & bike in both, but the run just lacked the spark this weekend ⚡️ Left wanting more but motivated to get it after 10 days of antibiotics and an infection 🥲 But the French crowds were unmatched! What a stunning race location and community in this adorable northern French village in Brittany 🫶🏻 (the best crêpes too btw x) Merci à tous! Grazie Alghero! 🤌🏼 The humbling return to World Series racing 😮‍💨 As the start of the LA Olympic qualifications, Alghero was nothing short of hot hard fast and honest racing. A mistake in critical moments on the first lap of the bike cost me but at this level you can’t afford any. P27 and left wanting more but will bank the experience. Feels great to be on this side of the world again racing so I’m fired up for a busy couple months on the road. Outside of racing, Sardinia is stunning! I was lucky enough to have my parents (and adopted @jamescorbett007), to explore the beautiful Mediterranean beaches, cafes and coastline. Thank you to those in my corner - you’re always there through thick and thin. Next up —> Banyoles 🇪🇸 camp before Quiberon 🇫🇷 taken in Alghero, Sardinia, Italy by @eva_goodisson
