Often, the most important parts
of life aren’t what we control,
but what we trust God to guide
.
When life feels out of control,
remember that God’s plan
is always bigger
than the details
we try to manage
.
That’s where His REST lives

This story has been told
a thousand times,
but there’s a detail
we rush past too quickly
.
The Father ran
.
Not out of impatience
Not simply out of affection
But to reach His child
before anyone else had the chance
to speak shame, judgment,
or “you don’t belong here”
over a heart already breaking
.

It’s who Jesus is
.
The God who runs toward us
when we’re still
a “great way off.”
.
The One who interrupts
the scripts we rehearse
and wraps us in his mercy

Isnt’ it ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
how simply SEEING
God’s Hand can
TRANSFORM our lives
.
Like the story
of a family cramped into a
tight space on a barge
for a full year
(mostly underwater)
.
(This one means a lot to me
since I’m the type who needs
her bedroom window cracked
in mid-winter
just to make sure fresh
air is circulating)
.
And yet instead of bickering
and complaining this family
was continually
PRAISING the LORD
(Ether 6:9)
.
Somehow those thoughts
of how hard the journey was
were swallowed up,
seeing those stones
shining in the darkness
reminding them of
what the Lord was doing
in their lives
.
Even after reaching land
freedom, open air,
the chance to stretch
and get comfortable,
it wasn’t an easier life
that made them happy
.
It was remembering how
“Great things the Lord had Done”
(Ether 6:30, 7:27, 10:2)
.
I love that this time of year
we get to spend time
REMEMBERING these GREAT THINGS
and FEELING GOD more
through GRATITUDE
.
This carousel is some of my
favorite remembrances
of God’s power and peace
.
I’d love to hear
which one(s) speak to
and resonate with
your heart right now

✨CONFERENCE GIVEAWAY ✨

At the outset of
General Conference weekend,
I felt to share this NEW art:

“Covenant Cleaving”

It’s a reminder of the
Joy, the light and eternal perspective
That come from life with Jesus
And remembering
God’s great promises to us
.
His power
His purpose
His peace
.
Promises that bless us,
our families, and ultimately
all the families of the earth
.
General Conference is a time
to listen, be renewed, and gather fresh courage and faith in those promises
.
We need not fear
.
God is holding on to us—
and to those we love
.
God is With Us
.
He does not give up on us,
and He gives us strength
to keep holding on too
.
So let’s build some
spiritual momentum
 going into this weekend 🤍
.
Comment below with
a favorite scripture,
conference quote,
or a story of a time
you felt God’s power and love
working in your life
.
We’ll choose three winners
to receive a copy of our new book,
Beholding the Restored Gospel
Through a FamilyCentric Lens
.
And take a minute to read
through the comments too

What if your body isn’t getting
in the way of your spiritual life…
but is actually key to it? 🤍
.
Scripture says that when spirit + body
are inseparably connected,
we receive a fullness of joy
.
I keep thinking about that
.
We pray with bodies
We kneel with bodies
We hug with bodies
We serve with bodies
We breathe
.
We walk
.
We rest
.
We take bread and water into our
bodies every Sabbath
in remembrance of Jesus Christ
.
And one day, because of Him,
body and spirit will be reunited—
never again to be divided
.
Maybe our bodies were never meant to
be something we simply tolerate until heaven
.
Maybe they are one of the places
we learn to recognize heaven now by @eva_timothy

When faith starts to feel routine,
I try to look with new eyes
.
At the heavens
At grace
At the people I love
At all the quiet ways
God is still at work
.
And the longer I look,
the more I notice—
the beauty I once overlooked
the mercy I almost missed
the love that has been
carrying me all along
.
And oh is it
wonderful! by @eva_timothy

EnLIGHTen episode and the full podcast

What happens as
we behold the Gospel
through the lens of Family?
.
We see
.
A God who asks us to call Him Father
.
A Savior who is not only our Redeemer—
but our Brother
.
A covenant path that is not
simply about getting somewhere better
but about bringing us home
.
This week on enLIGHTen,
Richard Eyre and I talk about
what changes when we begin to
see the restored gospel through
a family-centric lens.
.
Because family isn’t just one part of God’s plan
.
It is woven through the whole story
.
Before this life, we were His children
.
Here, we learn to love,
forgive, sacrifice, grow, and become
.
And through Jesus Christ,
families can be bound together
far beyond the limits of mortality
.
Our families may not look perfect.
Some relationships may ache.
Some prayers may still feel unanswered
.
But God’s story is longer
than the chapter we are living right now
.
So keep loving
Keep reaching
Keep turning hearts toward one another
.
Because perhaps one of the
greatest invitations of the gospel is this:

To see every soul as family
and help walk one another home.

Some seasons ask us to walk
before we can see very far.

To trust the light
before the darkness has fully lifted.

But Christ has always been enough
for the next step.

And maybe that is how the dark is pushed back—

one small act of faith,
one step toward Him,
one life reflecting enough light
for someone else to find the way home.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come.”

Today I got to talk with my darling
friend DeEtte @deetteenglebright
and discuss this question
.
What does it actually mean
to live a consecrated life?
.
Maybe it isn’t about doing more
.
Maybe it begins with looking up
.
We looked at Jehoshaphat’s powerful prayer—
“we know not what to do, but our eyes are upon thee”—
and discover a pattern of praising God,
remembering His goodness,
trusting His promises,
and then surrendering our need to Him
.
We sit with Mary at the feet of Jesus
and remember that sometimes
the “good part” is simply making space to listen
.
And we consider a question that
can change the way we begin each day:

“How can I live a consecrated life today?”
.
Consecration can happen in quiet prayers,
repetitive work, motherhood, repentance,
listening, serving,trusting,
and doing small things with great love
.
We may not always
know what to do

.
But we can keep
our eyes upon Him

Try this the next time you pray:

Before you rush to the asking, spend a little time remembering.

Remember what God has promised.
Remember how He has provided.
Remember that He has prevailed.

So much of scripture follows this pattern—remembrance before petition.

Not because God needs to be reminded of who He is.

Because sometimes we do.

He already knows what you need. He has not forgotten you. And praise is more than the polite beginning of a prayer—it can be the place where our faith catches up to our fear.

When we remember His character, His covenants, His goodness, and His power, we begin to ask differently.

Not because we suddenly know how everything will work out.

But because we remember Who we are asking.

He promises.
He provides.
He prevails. by @eva_timothy

week’s enLIGHTen episode.

What if BEAUTY + THE BEAST is actually a
story about learning to LOVE like Jesus? 🌹

I absolutely loved this conversation
with my dear friend Cassie Shepherd
@homecenteredlearning
.
We talked about fairy tales.
The scriptures.
The sparrow.
Learning.
Beauty + the Beast.
Transformation.
And the God who created galaxies—but still notices ONE
.
Because that is the miracle of His love
.
God loves ALL
.
And God loves EACH
.
And as disciples of Jesus Christ,
we are learning to do the same
.
Maybe that means looking beyond
someone’s rough exterior and
seeing the wounded heart underneath
.
Maybe it means asking
a more thoughtful question
.
Maybe it means giving someone their “library”—
not what WE think they need,
but something that tells them:

I see you.
I know you.
I know what
matters to you
.
And maybe LOVING MORE
doesn’t always mean DOING more
.
Sometimes it means SEEING more
.
Seeing people the way Jesus sees them
.
Seeing their divine potential
.
Seeing that person beneath the Beastly exterior
.
And loving them TOWARD the person
they were always meant to become. 🤍 by @eva_timothy
