Since October is National Estate Planning Month, here’s today’s tip:

If you already have an estate plan, when was the last time you actually looked at it? 🧐

Life changes. We get married, 💒divorced, 💔have children 👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻and grandchildren, 👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻buy and sell real estate, 🏘️and unfortunately, sometimes we lose people we love. 🪦😔

Your estate plan should change as your life changes.

It’s time to review those documents!!! Are the right people still listed? 🫣Do your beneficiaries reflect what you want today? 🙄Does your plan include the real estate 🏡and other assets you currently own?🤔

Having an estate plan is great. Having an estate plan that actually reflects your life today is even better, so don’t put it off!

59 years + 10 months! 🥳⛵️🌴

What a beautiful way to celebrate another month closer to 60! 🎉

Today we spent an amazing day aboard Flyin’ Haven with our friends George and Puchi, who sailed a 42’ catamaran for 4 1/2 years!!! Talk about experience! ⛵️🤩

We invited them to be our very first overnight guests on Flyin’ Haven, and what a perfect day we had! 🥰

We sailed down to Card Sound in the Upper Keys, anchored near the Card Sound Road Bridge, and jumped in for a refreshing swim. 🌊

For dinner, and of course to celebrate my 59 years + 10 months 🥳, we took our dinghy over to Alabama Jack’s! A place I had never even heard of! 😂 One of the things I love about the Keys is being able to arrive at restaurants by boat. 🚤🍹

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, God blessed us with the most beautiful sunset! 🌅😍🙏

Good friends, beautiful weather, new adventures, and wonderful memories. What more could I ask for? ❤️

Only TWO more months until the BIG 6-0! 😳🎉

Thank you, Jorge, for continuing to celebrate my crazy monthly birthday adventures with me! 😘🥰

I asked ChatGPT what award it would give me based on everything it knows about me, my work, my family, my goals and even our upcoming sailing adventure. ⛵

It gave me “The Legacy Architect Award.” 🏆

Then I took it one step further. I asked ChatGPT to write the introduction they would give me at the awards ceremony AND create my big award moment. 😂

The award may be imaginary, but the possibilities with AI are very real!

Life changes. Marriage, 💍💒divorce, 💔 a new child, 👶🏻 the loss of a loved one 🪦, or another major life transition can mean it’s time to review your estate planning documents, bank accounts, life insurance policies, retirement accounts and anything else where you’ve named a beneficiary. 📋

What a weekend! ⛵️💍🏡🥳❤️

Friday started with lunch aboard Flyin’ Haven with our friends and past clients @jovial814 & Brani before they head back to Croatia 🇭🇷, followed by a beautiful evening celebrating @daniab310 & Alfonso saying “I do!” 💍 It was a beautiful ceremony and such an elegant and fun reception with great food, music and friends.🥰💒👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️ @valdesfammom , @dania_r_infante

Saturday was divide and conquer! He hosted an Open House at one of our listings at 17435 SW 109th Ct 🏡 (shameless real estate plug 😂), while I attended “Navigating Divorce with Intention,” a wonderful workshop led by four amazing women providing support, knowledge and resources for women navigating divorce. I hope and pray no one ever needs these resources, but if you or someone you know does, I’ve tagged them so you can follow them 😉.

Then Saturday night we celebrated our friend and fellow Boostie Janet surprise 60th birthday! 🥳🎉 And YES, she was surprised!

Sunday was all about Flyin’ Haven. ⛵️ First time I witnessed a KING TIDE 😳 We made the six-hour trip from Coconut Grove to Fort Lauderdale to get her ready to be hauled out tomorrow. We even had a serendipitous visit from a friend, @sailsobe before leaving the mooring and got to watch two cruise ships heading out as we came into Port Everglades. 🚢 Our last little surprise was this little bird 🐦 that came on board and could not figure out how to get out 😔

Friends, celebrations, real estate, learning, boating and lots of unexpected moments along the way.

A full and FUN weekend! ❤️

My tip for today is simple: Have a financial team. 🙌

We have professionals for so many areas of our lives, so why not have the right people helping us make decisions about our finances, our real estate, and our future?

Your team may include a CPA, financial advisor, estate planning attorney, insurance professional, and of course, a Real Estate Planner. 😉

The important thing is that you don’t wait until you have a problem to start building that team.
