Today is 6 years since I brought home Ginger so obviously I made a zine about it!
(This is the very first picture I took of her. She was very suspicious, and then about 15 minutes later she was sitting in my lap)

Her middle name is Louise. Her last name is dog, obviously.
(@keayvasaurus came up with her middle name 🌻)

Nicknames include Ginj, Gingeroni, Munchkin, Munchy, Snugglebug, Nosy, Sweetgirl

Sometimes she sleeps with her eyes open but I couldn’t find a picture of that.

This hoodie is really cute and tbh I wish I had a matching one.
I boop her many times a day.

I brought some copies to trade at @baqzf this weekend ☺️ #baqzf

She used to crawl inside my pillow cases 🥹

Our first picture together. She jumped in my car without hesitation and slept in my lap on the drive home from Riverside (she is not allowed to do this in the car now but it was the only way she would chill out on that first car ride)

I am 34 and alive and very glad. This year continues my tradition of spending the days surrounding my birthday eating and drinking delicious things around town. I also assigned myself the task of making a list of 34 things that I’m proud of (it was harder than I thought it would be—I’m at 21 right now).
If you would like to celebrate me, you can:
1. Tell me something you’re proud of yourself for (thank you for the inspo!)
2. Contribute to the deliciousness fund (Venmo is Evan-Chelsee)
3. Savor something and think of me.

Double Text is part of this year’s Queer Zest zine fest! We’re so excited to be part of this online celebration of queer publishing and creativity. Order any of our books and we’ll include free zines with your order!

Double Text produces media that uses the deeply personal as a lens for engaging the world. Our work is by and about queer people, and the way they move between text and subtext. We have three chapbooks out now 📚🛍️ by @evansees_

I’m working on my table layout for @oczinefest and my ambitions were greater than my square footage 😅

In honor of an ever evolving tablescape, here are some of my past tables!
1. My first time tabling at a zine fest! #lazf with @rawra.avis
2. My first solo table @cozilv
3. My most recent table at #laqzf!

We did it! Thank you to every maker who trusted us with their work, the hundreds of folk who walked through the door, and every helper who made the day possible. Photos are headed to makers soon — in the meantime, here's a few of our favorites from James and December @decemberescudero . Special thanks to @RecreationalCoffee for having us, to the Rec team for brewing up so much goodness for us, and to patrons like you for making BLZF possible and 💅🏽 cute. So many zines found new homes. We’re excited to tell you all the details soon! by @evansees_

I love books. I love talking about them. I love recommending them. And I *especially* love when they’re historical romance novels! So starting in April, I’ll be sending out THE HISTORICAL REGISTER — a monthly newsletter of new and upcoming historical romance titles. In each edition you’ll get details for a handful of books (we are going *wide* within the subgenre) so you buy/borrow/pre-order the ones that strike you fancy! You can also expect the occasional in-depth recommendation, when there’s a book I really think you should read.
🔗 in the usual place!

They’ve had many names, but people have been making zine-like things for a long, long time! Putting your words and art on paper is powerful!

There is never a bad time to make a zine, but now is a *particularly* good one. We need your zines!

If you’ve got a zine you’re ready to share, @biggestlittlezinefair wants to see it 👀 by @evansees_

Everything sucks & I want to do something! So… now what???

I made a zine about getting started in movement + justice work for the first time! These are things that were important for me to learn as a newbie, and things I’ve sometimes felt frustrated about with other people. It feels important to pass on what I can, like the seasoned organizers who have helped and educated me for many years! 🧡

If you want a paper copy, you can find it in the @biggestlittlezinefair zine library inside @recreationalcoffee right now!

I included some local orgs to check out, but if you’re an organizer please chime in! (Especially if you’ve got actions and opportunities to participate coming up) by @evansees_
