Quite the epic blade of granite tucked into the dense chaotic brush of the lower Mountain Beavers. Crazy it took me this long to get around to those tasty pinches, but I do suppose there are always so many distracting boulders around…

Took advantage of some wonderfully Autumnal overcast weather the other day and took it for a hell of a ride! Fine movement on an amazingly cut feature quickly put this toward the top of my list for the grade range for sure.

Thankful for a beautiful day out in the mountains with the critters and some good spots from Doug, keeping me from tumbling over the spicy stone in the landing. Yet another classic rig in the books put up by my ol’ buddy Steve!

Felt like I didn’t shoot a lot of wildlife photography over the summer. Been getting pretty lucky since the annual Alaska trip however, still rummaging through many interesting sights from the ol’ final frontier.

Happened upon an unexpected opportunity to hang out with a bunch of stunning little Hummingbirds when I was down in Southern California recently. Glad this wasn’t one of those time I left the lens at home. 🧡💜💚 taken in Channel Islands by @everascending

Adjusting to solid ground again after some wonderful island life over this past weekend. Grateful for the opportunity to see such a stunning new environment!

Quite the contrast from the hustle and bustle of the Los Angeles web of chaos, sail a few hours out and there is still some amazing and raw wildlife and scenery to witness on these vast Channel Islands if you have the opportunity. Snorkel gear at the minimum is a must, endless mesmerizing aquatic life tucked into these coves. Giant Yellow Kelpfish being one of the most memorable.

Also impressed to see the revival of a few species on the island over the past couple of decades including the Santa Cruz Island Fox and Bald Eagle’s that I have never seen very far south on the coast! taken in Santa Cruz Island, Channel Islands National Park, California by @everascending

Couple of involuntary weeks off the rocks after someone totaled my car heading back down the ol’ pass. Sometimes I’m just invisible I guess. ☠️

It’s been sweltering anyways, but without my pad shuttling Subaru machine there hasn’t been much action toward climbing. Feels like the body always wants more rest anywho so we’ll see how the readjustment to hot granite takes…

Maintained a fair amount of productivity on this hillside up until the break, finishing up a few more of those final projects scattered in the woods. Psyched to say we’ve got some acceptable wheels rolling again, now I just need to find a little motivation to hug a rock before heading up to Alaska.🦅
