When an off-the-shelf option won’t quite do the job, that’s where EverEdge custom design comes in.

From unusual curves and bespoke shapes to different heights and finishes, we can create made-to-measure steel edging that fits the project — rather than making the project fit the product.

I’ve got a couple of great examples attached of recently installed jobs, showing just how clean, precise and seamless a custom solution can look. Slate custom Titan install by @tawgardencare and Corten custom wall installed by customer.

Got a tricky detail or a design idea you’d like to explore? Send us a message — we’re always happy to chat through the possibilities.

A visit to @heaton_park & @manchesterbeekeeping

I decided to pay a visit to the garden, to see of she needed a tidy. Even after all of this wild weather, a move from Birmingham to Manchester the magic is still with in this space.

Have a beautiful Humpday!

New Balance has unveiled its first-ever garden at its historic Made in UK factory in Flimby, Cumbria – created for the people whose craftsmanship has shaped the brand’s Made in UK legacy.

Designed in collaboration with London-based jewellery designer @bleueburnham, The Flimby Garden takes its cues from the surrounding Cumbrian landscape, with gently undulating flower beds, wildflower planting, pockets of water and flowering cherry trees. A place for factory workers to step away from production, take a break and spend time amongst plants.

It’s an interesting shift in how we think about gardens at work — not landscaping just to complement a building, but a dedicated garden created for the people inside it.

The collaborative project brings together a passion for craft and the creativity of the natural world.

And who better to take us through it than @themontydon.

Soooooo grateful for discovering @everedge_uk when we designed our garden layout 🙏
We have 50 meters of Everedge installed to the edge of our lawn including both sides of the centre path. So easy to install, we did it ourselves 😉👌
Mowing is a doddle as I just glide the mower straight over the top of every edge 🫶🏡
This is NOT an AD …we just love this product so much and will shout about it to anyone who is considering an upgrade to their garden 🪴

When global brands collaborate with local expertise, remarkable landscapes take shape. 💚 Swipe —> to see where the project started.

We’re incredibly proud to have been the landscape build team behind The Flimby Garden for @newbalance / @newbalancelifestyle bringing @bleueburnham’s inspiring vision to life at the Flimby factory here in Cumbria.

This carousel takes you behind the scenes, showing the transformation as it happened - from shaping the land to flow around the existing building, to creating undulating flower beds with Lake District-inspired planting and pools of water interspersed to encourage employees to rest, reflect and connect with nature.

As with all our projects, every stage required careful craftsmanship, close collaboration and attention to detail. Watching the design evolve from plans on paper into a landscape that the factory workers can experience every day has been hugely rewarding for our team.

It’s projects like this that remind us great landscapes aren’t just beautiful - they can improve wellbeing, encourage biodiversity and create meaningful places for people to spend time.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this remarkable project to life. We’re proud to have played our part.

Sometimes you don’t realise how far you’ve come until you put the before and after photos side by side.

If you’ve been following our journey, you’ll probably remember what the front west wing looked like before we started. The ivy had completely taken over. As much as we love the character it can bring, it had worked its way behind the downpipes and into the brickwork, so removing it became essential to protect the manor.

The lawn was never meant to become such a big project! We hired a turf cutter to remove the old, weed-filled lawn before rotavating the ground. We then brought in 8 tonnes of topsoil to level the area and restore nutrients before laying the new turf.

We even made the classic mistake of not ordering enough turf… 🤦‍♂️ The rest is arriving this week from @rolawn , so this section will soon be complete.

One of the biggest improvements, although probably the least noticeable, has been installing 80 metres of CorTen steel edging from @everedge_uk . If you’ve seen our previous videos, you’ll know how much time we spent every year recutting the lawn edges where the gravel and grass had mixed together. Hopefully those days are now behind us.

We’ve also completed the exterior electrical installation, meaning the manor can now be floodlit in the evenings. Seeing the building illuminated for the first time was a pretty special moment.

There’s still plenty to do. The borders need planting, and we’d love to sympathetically restore the front paving where possible, always respecting the Grade II listed status of the manor.

Looking back at these photos has given us a real boost. When you’re living a project every day, it’s easy to focus on what’s left rather than what’s been achieved.

We want to know. Should we have kept the ivy or remove and start from scratch? taken in Chapel Cleeve Manor by @everedge_uk

What began as a simple afternoon of pruning the wisteria and cutting back some ivy quickly turned into a much larger restoration project.

Over the years, the wisteria and ivy had worked their way behind the downpipes, pulling them away from the wall and finding their way into the lower brickwork. It became clear that a more permanent solution was needed, so we made the decision to remove the ivy completely.

This has always been a problem area in the garden. The lawn struggled year after year due to poor soil and a mass of thick roots beneath the surface. With everything exposed, it seemed the perfect opportunity to do the job properly.

We installed @everedge_uk steel edging to create a clean separation between the gravel and lawn before bringing in eight tonnes of topsoil ready for the new turf. Unfortunately, the delivery was left at the main gate instead of the manor, meaning every shovel load had to be transferred into the Gators and driven up by hand. Not the easiest task in the middle of summer, especially on a south-facing bank with very little shade!

This project definitely wasn’t at the top of the priority list—there are countless other jobs waiting—but sometimes you uncover an issue that simply can’t be ignored. Looking at the transformation already, it was absolutely the right decision.

We’re really pleased with the @everedge_uk finish too. The thick CorTen steel creates a crisp, timeless border between the gravel and lawn, and as it develops its natural weathered patina over time, it will look as though it has always been part of the garden.
