Can you Help Chip?

This week, we welcomed 7 year old Chip into foster care from the @nycacc. He’s an absolutely precious little guy who was struggling in the shelter environment, particularly with gaining weight and getting the medical care he needed.

When we say Every. Last. One., we mean all of them. Big and small, young and old, and every dog who needs a little extra help getting to their next chapter.

For Chip, that means a special diet to help him gain weight, a neuter, and a muchneeded dental to get his teeth and overall health in a better place. We want to take care of these things now so that when Chip finds his forever family, they can focus on what matters most: loving him!

The estimated cost of Chip’s care is $1,500, and we’re asking our incredible community to help us get him there. As a rescue, 99% of the dogs we bring in need extra vet care and every medical expense adds up.

A little bit goes a long way. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to getting this sweet boy adoption ready. If you can’t donate, sharing his fundraiser means so much, too!

Xola’s First Week In Foster Care: A Review!

After 4 months in a shelter, Xola is finally experiencing the finer things in life: long walks in the park, new stuffies, couch privileges, unlimited cuddles, and naps that don’t come with a checkout time.

Her verdict? 5 stars. 10/10. No notes. Foster care looks good on her!

Queenie was abandoned with two puppies to protect.

Fast forward to today…

She’s hiking, stopping to smell the flowers, showing off her playful side, and soaking up the kind of peace she deserved all along. A month ago, this life was just a dream. Now it’s her reality.

Queenie is a happy, loving, 4 year old girl who is ready to be someone’s very best friend. She’s house-trained, gate-trained, good with other dogs, and has plenty of love to give. She’s got the perfect mix of adventurous spirit and cozy couch companion, and we have a feeling she’d make an excellent winter cuddle buddy

At 45 pounds, she’s a whole lot of love in one very deserving package. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy to explore the trails with or a sweet girl to curl up beside you at the end of the day,

She is so much more than the circumstances that brought her to the shelter. She’s a dog with her whole life ahead of her, and we want to see her spend it in a home where she’s safe, loved, and never discarded again!

Come with us on a New Hope Borough Break! Some dogs don’t need rescuing. They need someone to give them a chance to show the world who they really are.

This weekend we hung out with Snowbean! This 4 year old boy got a day out with @devoncdegen through New Hope Borough Breaks, a program created in partnership with @NYCACC to give shelter dogs a much needed break from kennel life.

A little fresh air, a few adventures, lots of cuddles, and the chance to simply be a dog. And for Snowbean? It was a reminder of just how much love these dogs have to give.

The best part? Snowbean is now going to trial adoption through NYCACC!

We’re so excited for him, and we hope more dogs get the same opportunity. Sometimes, all it takes is one day outside the shelter for someone to see the dog they’ve been missing in their life.

We learn something new about our adoptable dogs each day and today’s lesson: Tom Nook is the PERFECT suburban man.

If you haven’t met Tom Nook, aka Tommy to us girls and his 2 year old human foster sister, Ladies, pull up a seat. He’s a mature 7 years, handsome, low maintenance, great with kids, and ready to settle down in the backyard and enjoy life with you.

Tom’s ideal life? A backyard to run around in, a ball to chase, a couch to lounge on, and a family to call his own. He’s happy to hang at home alone while you go out with the girls or on the couch watching the show of your choice, doesn’t need to be the center of attention, and is perfectly content letting you live your life while he lives his. Basically, Tom is a GREEN FLAG.

Tom Nook isn’t looking for a situationship. He’s looking for THE ONE. His only requests: being the only dog in the home and a backyard to stretch his legs!

We are so thankful to each and every person who chooses to adopt from Every Last One. But there’s something especially meaningful when someone who has been supporting ELO’s journey from the beginning sees one of your fosters and says, that’s my guy! ❤️

Narwhal was adopted by our dear friend, fellow rescue advocate, and founder of the @tiny_tim_rescue_fund, @johnbartlett_nyc.

John is so much more than an adopter. He has been advocating for animals long before we came onto the scene, and he has become a mentor, a friend, an inspiration, and, not to mention, one of the kindest humans we know. We’ve rescued dogs alongside him and his dedication to animal welfare and the lives he has touched through his work are something truly special.

John knew that he adopt a New York City dog, and we are so honored that he found Narwhal through us. To have someone who has given so much to the rescue community choose one of our dogs is a gift we don’t take lightly.

John, thank you for being you, for believing in our mission, and for giving Narwhal his next chapter. We couldn’t be happier that these two found each other! by @everylastonerescue

✨ Weekly Impact Report ✨

We’ve had a busy week at ELO, and we have lots of exciting updates to share. See below for the latest ELO tea!

⭐ Narwhal: Adopted! He was adopted by our dear friend and fellow rescue advocate, John Bartlett!

⭐ Introducing our NEW Adoption team! Big things are happening at ELO! Mac, May, and Hanna will be leading the charge on adoptions, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. Growing our team means creating more opportunities to support our fosters, connect with adopters, and help our dogs find the families they’ve been waiting for.

⭐ Norton & Lexi were adopted at our Petco event! Events are about so much more than finding homes. They are some of our favorite days in rescue.

⭐ Caprese is a FOSTER FAIL! He is officially adopted by the very foster mom who gave him a chance. Foster fails will always have our hearts!

⭐ Welcome to the ELO family Shortcake! Shortcake was being fostered through NYCACC, and she’s now officially an ELO girl, along with her foster!

⭐ A few weeks ago, Mylo joined us for a Borough Break, where we got to know his calm, affectionate, easygoing personality. Since then, he’s became at risk due to shelter deterioration and we’re happy to have him safe with us.

⭐ We welcome Xola from QACC. Every time we say yes to a dog who needs us, we create the possibility of an entirely different future. We can’t wait to help her find the loving home she deserves.

⭐ Meet Amber (ID 266456): Currently on Straycation: Amber is spending some time on a straycation with ELO, getting a much needed break from the shelter environment. We’d love nothing more than to turn this temporary getaway into a permanent path by finding her a foster home. Apply on our website to foster Amber.

⭐ SHANGHAI FOUND HER FOREVER FAMILY! Shanghai’s adoption deserves a post all of its own! After 10 months in care we are crying happy tears for the girl who stole all of our hearts.
