🌟Rating Guide🌟

whats bookstagram without book reviews? here is a little insight on how to get in my head when ive finished a book.

a guide where i can organize my thoughts for when someone asks me what i thought about a book...cause naturally, i forget every word the minute i finish a book lol

my reviews are never going to be some in-depth complex analysis. of course i will included a little but of logic but i write my reviews based off how it made me feel and how obsessed i was...or not. even though i have a star rating, that doesnt convey all my thoughts and emotions. i like to get a bit animated and harsh at times or super extra. so definitely make sure you always read the caption for the full review! if youre here, youre here for ✨𝓿𝓲𝓫𝓮𝓼✨ im a mood reader and so are my reviews.

✍🏾 i will only tag an author in a review that is written in a positive light. for me, that will be reviews rated 3.5 or higher. anything lower is just unnecessary and not nice.

🌶️ spice ratings will only be included on romance/romantasy genre categories. i felt this is necessary to include because everyones level of spice is very different and sometimes yall be saying something is spicy and its just...not lol

oh! and sometimes i like to post live thoughts on my stories while im reading. so in addition to me being really effing funny and cool, make sure youre following me 😉

My 2025 Most Anticipated Reads! ✨

its gonna be a busy first 6months! i cannot wait for these titles to release. if i'm being honest, Onyx Storm will probably be my entire identity for awhile and if The Perfect Divorce ends anything like the 1st book, i may find myself in a coma 🤷🏾‍♀️

im hoping ill be able to carve out time to complete all of the soon-to-be released hopefuls.

every morning, so far, while on vacay i wake up earlier than i should, order my room serviced morning tea and sit on my balcony and read for one hour with a view. its been the most zen part of my days and honestly my favorite

IF i were to purchase this series it would 100% be a "booksta made me do it" 🙃

outside of harry potter and hunger games, ive never been a fantasy reader. im intrigued by some but ive never made the jump. i see this series promo'd all over booksta so its become hard to ignore! now i just want to know is the hype worth it?? should i make the buy? and if i do, do i get paperback or hardcover?! (my daily sofies choice). decisions decisions 🤔

✨shelfie update!✨

the organization of my bookshelf is starting to get a tad more difficult due to the fact that whenever i leave my house or log onto amazon i acquire a new book 🤷🏾‍♀️

the problem is, i truly cant decide if i want an identical book shelf or if i want something different or if i shouldnt bother at all?

living in an apartment has major storage flaws.

my reading quirk: i HATE when i have books from the same author in mismatched formats. i know it makes me weird but this is who i am 😂 ESPECIALLY when its series. i mean how could you have a 5 book series and some be paperback and the rest hardcover? or some mass market and some tv tie in/traditional book size (looking at you bridgerton)

i have actively waited months or searched tirelessly to make sure my series/authors match. this is the sole reason i have yet to acquire Malibu Rising by TJR lol i cannot find it in paperback (but i know it exists-so if you know, help a girl out 😅)

anyways, is anyone else like this or are you normal? comment below!

after months of waiting i FINALLY got my hands on the first 5 Bridgerton novels!! cant wait to dive into this because im not convinced the TV version of the *alleged* Lady Whistledown is really who it is.

No spoilers if you have read, but do you think the TV exposed Lady Whistledown is actually who was shown??? Comment and lets -a̶r̶g̶u̶e̶- chat about it lol

first let me say, i enjoyed this book so much!

▪️(swipe for synopsis)▪️

some areas were pretty predictable but even still, i was kept on the edge of my seat majority of the time. this was my first LGBT+ focused read-which i hate categorizing as such cause, love is love-and this book really gave me all the feels. the steam level was beyond! i mean seriously, the details, ya girl was sweating. i felt myself getting sad, angry, anxious on all that was happening. the ending-of course no spoilers here-i was nervous! i felt it like it was happening in real life (which it kinda did?). i loved the dynamic of the White House Trio and how the Brits blended into the dynamic seamlessly. I also was reminded how fun my 20s were. even though im (obviously) not even remotely close to a public figure and i have full control of my private life, the issues the Trio faced as 20-somethings are still real no matter how public or private your life is. anyways, this book definitely lived up to the hype that i anticipated and if it wasn’t for the obvious predictable areas, i would truly give this 5 stars.
