Cosplay couple from Gatineau, Qc Canada. Started cosplaying in 2023. Found a new common hobby through cosplay at 36. It’s never too late to start.

POSTS STORIES REELS

Season 3 of The legend of Vox Machina released today! The show that started it all.

A year ago, we went to our first comicon, NYCC, because of Critical Role appearance, we made our first cosplay and started playing DnD. Since then, many new cosplays, a new WIP craft room and many more to come! Vex’ahlia from @laurabaileyvo and Percy from @executivegoth and the universe @matthewmercervo created are what brought our couple even closer and allowed us to express our creativity. Raising our props to VoxMachina and the crew of Critical Role for the amazing season 3.

I can’t believe that it’s only been a year since I started doing cosplay “seriously”. Other than Percy, which is mostly made by Evy, Blue beetle was my very first build and project.

On March 30th 2024, I suited up for the very first time. A big beginner mistake to not test the suit at home first. Spent most of the morning at @anime_ottawa in the cosplay lounge fixing the backpack receiving support and good words from all the cosplayers coming through. Enough that I even registered for a very first masquerade, not knowing what I was getting into.

Through the first year we have met incredible people and a fantastic supportive community. Here’s a big shout out to some people who have made that first day but also the first year something that brought Evy and I closer and made us dive fully in our geek/nerd side.

In no particular order - THANK YOU!

Attention members of the Princess Posse Fan Club:

Princess Donut and Carl have arrived with another photo!

Mongo would definitely approve.

Our VIP shoot photos from @yeticon.official are finally here!
When we started reading Dungeon Crawler Carl earlier this year, we never expected to fall so hard for this chaotic and surprisingly emotional adventure. Now Evy is on book 6 and Lockie is on book 7, so we’re both nearly caught up with the series.

Carl and Princess Donut will be seen at future cons for sure!

MORE pictures of Lady Vex’ahlia and Lord Percival de Rolo!

The background is so nice! It did not look like that on site but the final product is on point!

Esteemed guests,
It is with great pleasure that we present Lady Vex’ahlia de Rolo, Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt, accompanied by her devoted husband, Lord Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowki de Rolo III.

Captured amidst the splendor of @yeticon.official, this moment feels less like a convention and more like an evening at Castle Whitestone itself.

Princess Donut: At last, the fans have been blessed with the presence of the illustrious Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk! Frankly, I was shocked there weren't more of us. Every convention should have at least a dozen Donuts. It's basic etiquette.

Carl: There were actually a few people who recognized us. That was pretty awesome.

Princess Donut: Of course they did, Carl. They have impeccable taste. Although I'm still waiting for the paparazzi and my royal entourage.

Carl: We mostly just walked around and took pictures.

Princess Donut: Details. The important thing is that we represented the greatest duo ever to survive the Crawl. Someone has to remind the world that style and violence can coexist.

Carl: ...She's been like this all day.

To everyone who recognized us, you absolutely made our day. We hope to see more Dungeon Crawler Carl cosplays at future cons.

Princess Donut: AND SOMEONE BRING MONGO NEXT TIME.

And just like that, we are leaving our first Yeticon!
What a nice weekend! Again, we met new people, we saw many cosplays and had a blast. More photos to come.
See you next year maybe?

WIP Murray Mag’Nesson coat
Found the main fabric in the tablecloth section at the thrift store. This is my new place for fabric!
Satin biais tape was not the best idea and hand sewing it even worst.
Only the tassels are missing, I will be reusing tassels from curtain (that I also found at the thrift store ;) )
