Yesterday, during lunchtime, the EP staff made our way to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival for food, fun, and time together outside the office.

We enjoyed exploring the hundreds of booths hosted by local nonprofit organizations, finding longtime favorite foods and new foods to try.

It is always great to enjoy one of Evansville’s favorite traditions while supporting nonprofits that make a difference.

Thank you, West Side Nut Club, for bringing our community together! by @evvphil

A few weeks ago, Music Director Roger Kalia had the opportunity to step away from the conductor’s podium and onto a very different kind of stage as a Keynote Speaker at Genesys Xperience 2026 in Las Vegas.

Roger joined Genesys Chairman and CEO Tony Bates for a Fireside Chat during the opening session, where they explored the parallels between conducting a symphony orchestra and leading complex organizations – communicating a vision, bringing highly skilled individuals together, making decisions in real time, and creating a meaningful experience for an audience.

We are proud to see our Music Director Roger Kalia share his perspective on leadership collaboration, creativity, and connection. by @evvphil

What an incredible few days of music, education, and engagement with Young Composer Competition winner Austin Ali!

On Thursday, Oct 1, Austin joined us in Evansville for our New Traditions concert, featuring the world premiere of his winning composition, “Bacheh Golam,” performed by the Eykamp String Quartet and members of the John & Diane Schroeder Consortium.

While he was in town, Austin spent time working with student musicians at University of Evansville, University of Southern Indiana, Bosse High School, and Mt. Vernon Fine Arts Academy, sharing his experience and insight through educational workshops.

On Friday, a professional recording session of “Bacheh Golam” took place at UE with Bad Panda Studio— another exciting moment for Austin and his composition.

We are so grateful for the days of music, education, and collaboration, and learning. What a wonderful experience for our musicians, students, and community! by @evvphil
