When did looking after ourselves become another thing we feel we’re getting wrong?

The skincare routine, the exercise, the meditation, the supplements, the perfect sleep schedule… somehow, even self-care has turned into another to-do list.

And I see this in my clinic all the time. Women who are managing businesses, families, careers and a hundred other responsibilities, yet somehow feel guilty because they haven’t been consistent with their skincare.

I’ve spent over 16 years working with skin, and I believe in taking good care of it. But I also believe that 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀. Sometimes we need fewer products, less pressure and a better understanding of what our skin actually needs.

That’s what I explore in my latest article for 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲, “When Did Self-Care Become Another Job?”

Thank you to @mirela.sula_globalwoman and the @global_woman.magazine team for giving me the space to share these conversations beyond the treatment room. ❤️

The full article is linked in my Stories today and also permanently placed in my bio.

And I’m curious: has self-care ever started to feel like another job to you?

This happened back in July at the Global Woman Awards @globalwomansummitlondon , and somehow life moved so quickly that this little video just stayed sitting on my phone.

Watching it now made me smile. I was so proud to receive the Beauty Aesthetics Award, and I think sometimes we move on from these moments far too quickly. There are so many years behind that little walk onto the stage. So many changes, wrong turns, moments of doubt, starting again and just carrying on without really knowing where it would all lead.

And now, two months later, I’m watching it from my sofa with my leg in a ridiculous boot 😂

Life is funny like that…One minute you’re walking onto a stage to collect an award. A couple of months later you’re very pleased with yourself because you managed to make a coffee 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I think both deserve to be appreciated. ❤️

Thank you @mirela.sula_globalwoman and @globalwoman_club for this very special moment. I’m glad I finally shared it. by @ewa.inderm

Life lately☕🐈‍⬛❤️

Plenty of coffee, cats who have no intention of contributing to the household bills, and a vegan doughnut that deserved its own photograph.😂

Some days are busy, some are quieter, and some involve me sitting around looking like a character from a science fiction film while getting my LED treatment in.

Just little moments from everyday life.

If you’re someone who doesn’t want injectables, I want you to know that you can come to us and feel completely comfortable saying that.

You can ask about changes you’ve noticed in your skin, explore treatments and get professional guidance without feeling you need to go down a route that doesn’t appeal to you.

That’s why, at @indermskinclinic we focus on skin health and rejuvenation without injectables. It’s an approach I feel strongly about, and I want you to feel comfortable with the care you choose.

Of course, what you choose for your face is personal. If you have injectables elsewhere, you’re still very welcome to come to us to care for your skin.

What matters to me is understanding what you want, explaining what our treatments can realistically offer you and helping you make choices that feel right for you.

16 years in the skin industry, and there’s still so much to learn. ❤️

Today we’re spending the day with our Lynton clinical trainer, refreshing our knowledge and developing our practical skills in IPL treatments for pigmentation and vascular concerns as well as Laser Hair Reduction.

Technology evolves, techniques develop, and I never want us to become the kind of clinic that thinks we already know everything.

For me, experience isn’t about knowing it all. It’s about knowing how important it is to keep learning.

And I love sharing that with my team. ❤️ by @ewa.inderm

The older I get, the less interested I am in being the version of myself I thought I was supposed to be.

I used to think that growing older meant becoming more serious, more composed, perhaps even a little more sensible.

But something quite different seems to be happening 😅

I’m laughing more, worrying less about looking ridiculous, becoming more comfortable expressing myself and discovering that I actually rather enjoy being me.

And the funny thing? Other people seem to enjoy that version of me too.

Perhaps confidence isn’t about becoming someone new. Sometimes it’s simply about finally allowing yourself to be who you’ve always been❤️

With love
Ewa

To all my fellow self-employed people out there… this round of applause is for you! 👏

Because sometimes you’ve just got to celebrate yourself. Nobody sees all the little battles, the decisions, the long days and everything that goes on behind the scenes.

So if nobody’s clapping for you today, consider this your standing ovation! 😂❤️ by @ewa.inderm

“I always feel completely safe with her.”

Of all the beautiful things this client wrote in her review, this is the sentence that means the most to me. ❤️

Because when someone comes to us with concerns about their skin, they’re trusting us with something very personal. And I never take that lightly.

Of course, knowledge, experience and the right treatments matter. But so does taking the time to listen, understanding the person in front of you and making sure they feel comfortable with every decision we make together.

I’ve always believed that good skin care starts with understanding, not selling someone another treatment they might not need.

And when a client tells me they feel safe, listened to and cared for, I know we’re doing something right.

Thank you for these incredibly kind words. They mean more than you know. ❤️ by @ewa.inderm

We often talk about ageing as though it’s entirely down to genetics.

But our environment plays an important role too.

UV exposure, air pollution and cigarette smoke can contribute to something called 𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 — an imbalance between free radicals and the skin’s natural antioxidant defences.

Over time, this can contribute to changes in collagen, pigmentation and the appearance of our skin.

And while we can’t control everything, there are things we can do to help protect it.

☀️ Daily broad-spectrum SPF.
🌿 Antioxidant skincare, when appropriate.
🧴 A routine that supports the skin barrier.

The aim isn’t to stop ageing. It’s to understand what’s happening to our skin and give it the care it needs as it changes.

That’s something I’m very passionate about at @indermskinclinic by @ewa.inderm

We spend so much time working towards something- a career, a business, a certain version of life. And when we finally build it, we sometimes feel we have to hold on to it exactly as it is. After all, look how much work went into getting there.

But what happens when the person who built that life starts wanting something different?

After years in business, I’ve realised that what made sense to me ten years ago doesn’t necessarily make sense for the woman I am today. There are things I’m incredibly proud of, things I would do differently, and things I’m ready to change.

Perhaps growth is also about recognising when something that once suited us no longer does, and giving ourselves permission to move forward without feeling that we’re somehow abandoning everything we’ve worked for.

You can be grateful for everything you’ve built and still want something different for your next chapter.

With Love,
Ewa ❤️ by @ewa.inderm

One of my favourite parts of what I do isn’t just attending incredible events—it’s being able to bring other women with me.

This evening we were invited to a private dinner in London, and moments like these remind me why I created Global Woman in the first place. Over the years, I’ve built relationships that open doors, and nothing makes me happier than inviting our Influencer Members to experiences that go far beyond our own events.

These are the conversations, connections and opportunities that often happen behind the scenes.

And can we just talk about London tonight? The sunshine, the skyline, the atmosphere… it almost feels like we’re somewhere on the Mediterranean or in California. This summer has been showing us a very different side of London!

Now we’re getting ready for our next @globalwoman_club gathering on 25 July in Mayfair, and I can’t wait to welcome another room full of ambitious, inspiring women.
